  • The Lateral Tension System (LTS) is a complete system designed to transfer the lateral forces on an exterior deck when attached to the wood frame of a structure.
Easier Installation in Less Time: With LTS, you can install the fastener first and then add the bracket. The long fastener allows you to achieve the 3" of threading within the sill plate without having to access the interior of the house.
All-In-One Kit: The FastenMaster LTS is one complete kit to make all five of the most common code conforming connections.
Guaranteed Corrosion Resistance: LTS is guaranteed not to rust or corrode for the life of the project. The coating on this fastener has been tested in wood treatment chemicals, such as ACQ.

Great video that really covers any questions we might have had. Looks to be one of the easiest systems on the market to install.

How would you install into concrete?

So simple... if your house is cut in half and you know what resides behind the siding and sheathing. Otherwise, how do you know what's behind the ledger, siding, and sheathing? Go through the ledger into the band joist?? My basement is finished and I'm not about to rip up the ceiling to attach 4 screws. Decks were fine for many years if the ledger and joist hangers were attached properly. You can use Simpson Structural Screws instead of the nails which easily pull out.

The Simpson Deck Tension Tie (DTT) brackets are simpler to install.

This combats 1500lb lateral connection ? The code is horrible to begin with so many open ends.
