Gee, I learned that back in scouts many years ago. However, water isn't always readily available but dirt usually is so I learned how to smother a fire as well. My dad use to say, "douse till it's out then douse it once again."

Thanks Roy... Yes... if water is not readily available, be sure to at least have a shovel so you can smother it. Fire safety is super important, especially in dry areas. -M
