- From the archives, this old school wet shave video was filmed in Athens, Greece in 2017. This classic looking old school shop was founded in 1977 by Nikos and currently, his son Christos runs the barbershop. Christos began working with his dad in 1988, and he took over the shop when his dad retired.
As soon as I saw the barbershop, I really liked the vintage 70s interior and Christos was really friendly!
Since we filmed this wet shave, Pavlatos Traditional Barber Shop has been updated and looks very different now.

For my last birthday my wife got me a voucher for a full service at a barber - hair cut, clean shave, hot towel and face treatments. It included an espresso at the end. Best birthday gift ever.

When you have an icon of saint mary on the wall, you know you’re in an old school Greek barbershop lol! Great vid!
There’s not a Greek shop, store or restaurant that don’t have an icon; and it’s the Panagia re hazo prams not Saint Mary.
Anesti Hatzisavvas there are “modern” Greek owned businesses that consider displaying religious stuff as old fashioned these days and so you see them less and less….and it’s Saint Mary for all the people reading that do not know what the name Panagia means. It’s the same thing for all Christians just a different name for her....and relax re kefte it’s not that serious.
