They cant make EV's that people want. It's not as easy as they thought it would be, in their arrogance they thought making an EV would be easy, just swap out the ICE engine for an electric motor and the fuel tank for a battery. Now they are crying because their EV's arent selling yet Tesla and Chinese EV's are selling like mad The Legacy guys have not a clue about software and cant even manage over the air up dates, many say they do but you have to take them to a dealership to have them updated
Problem is the batteries are no good. They've no range, they degrade, they burst into unquenchable flame. Add price, lack of charging stations, insufficient power on our electrical grids, wiring needed at home, you've got an unsaleable product. Practical E V's are still decades distant.
@@stevehayward1854 I own and daily drive an ID5 EV SUV and I have to say that it took me months to learn how to efficiently drive, the ambient temperature impact and of course how to charge at all of the available public chargers. Gas car drivers have it easy, not even have to know how to use a self service gas pump.
When I was a supply specialist in the military we had some electric power forklifts that were relatively easy to operate. At the end of the day we would connect them to the charger and they were ready to go the next day.
Ditch electrical Vehicles,ditch ALL UNNECESSARY ELECTRIC GADGETS, Lower Price and stop All The BullShit Sale Pitches put the price Total On Sticker And Stick To It to hell with the weak minded buyer believing with the pitches they will be getting A Deal while continuing getting Screwed.
EVs are doomed. Hybrids are twice as complicated as they need to be. They can build an ice car with ONE computer that will still meet emissions. I know, I drive one. Sheesh, mass hysteria is exhausting.
Ev’s are great idea when they work. Unfortunately that day may well be a decade away. 1st obstacle a 1,000 mile solid state battery. Better electronics simplified that operate the cars various systems. Forget AI. Then build a better electrical distribution system. Last cut the cost by 75%. A 60,000 ev is stupid. It’s a car 🚗 not a home. The battery is first obstacle to over come. Once this is achieved infrastructure will begin to be built. All the batteries on the market are a fire waiting to happen. The solid state battery can alleviate the fire hazard and degradation to heat and cold. I wouldn’t touch any of them today.

EV's are extremely easy to drive just one pedal, press it down to move and lift it to stop, even a fool could do it, are you up to it ?

Bike, skateboard, and walk whenever possible. Install solar panels on your roof if feasible and charge your electric car
