Was this the show at Liberty State Park in NJ back in August 2001? Or was it during the In Rainbows era (again, in Liberty State Park as part of the early incarnation of Governor’s Ball)? I’m pretty sure those are the times Radiohead played outdoor events in the greater NYC area after OK Computer came out (I’ve seen them on every tour since they opened for Alanis Morrissette at my very first rock concert when I was 15 in 1996, a year before OK’s release, and I remember the moment you’re talking about but I can’t place for certain which of the two it was.)

Paranoid Android. Covered by MANY people on CZcams. Covered flawlessly by very few. This is one of those very few flawless covers, and I am grateful to have found it.
This is pure performance - no backing track, no looping pedal, no edits - just raw, soulful, ART. It would sound just the same without any electronic equipment (even the vocal reverb simply accentuates the natural sound)... Few have the guts to attempt this and far fewer have the talent to pull it off. So incredibly rare to see.
Firstly, what's the problem with backing tracks and loop pedals? Secondly, it is edited, you can clearly hear reverb on it, and probably some compression, which already makes it not RAW, and it's god damn okay

I came across one of your covers of the smiths, I’m not sure which one but I loved it. I sent it to my sister, I didn’t like the smiths at the time but your cover was so great I had to share it. I felt very inspired watching you play. While I had always wanted to play guitar you were honestly one of the reasons I decided to actually give it a try. Now I’m about a year in half into playing. I just finished writing an album and I’ve fallen in love with guitar and music. My life has been getting better and guitar honestly saved me. I just came across this video in my recommendations and I realized I owe a lot to you. You’re cover made me go through with buying the guitar and I love the smiths now.
