Any thoughts of games that didn't leave Europe that I should talk about in the future? We talked about the following games already in the previous episode:
NES - Noah's Ark
Sega Master System - Asterix, Running Battle
Mega Drive - The Second Samurai
SNES - Asterix, Hanna-Barbera Turbo Toons, Jelly Boy, Super Dany
Nintendo 64 - Taz Express
Playstation 2 - Masters of the Universe: He-Man Defender of Grayskull
Here's the episode if you haven't seen it - czcams.com/video/weWVNcmIv_0/video.html
There are lots of terrible licensed ps2 games published by blast entertainment such as Home Alone and Beverly Hills Cop; neither of which have the likenesses of the main character
Some of my favorite gameboy color games were only ever released in European regions; Merlin, Dinosaur'us, Robin Hood (different from the original gameboy game released in the states) and Halloween Racer
For left in Europe try out the ottifants on the master system and mega drive. Also Ottifants Commando Störtebecker on the GBC is pretty good.
2 excellent French games;
- Asterix & Obelix on SNES ; way better than Asterix. Music & graphics are here legendary and the 2 player coop makes it a childhood classic (best infogramme game ever)
- Legend on SNES by Arcade 7 (literally 2 French dudes in a cave who made better looking Beat'em up than SEGA's Golden Axe, and Imo better playing, there I said it)
Dunno if they really never left Europe tho
Man Overboard - Mega Drive
Spirou - Mega Drive + others
Micro Machines Military - Mega Drive
Micro Machines 96 - Mega Drive, but I guess mostly MM2 with an track editor.
Tintin in Tibet - Mega Drive and SNES, not sure if PAL exclusive
Probotector? it is the same game, but it is different/"exclusive" for PAL
There are some that is exclusive for PAL on a certain console, but is on Nintendo in NTSC etc.?
Cannon Fodder is only on PAL Mega Drive, but is of course on a lot of platforms everywhere.
make a left in brazil episode, you'd be surprised with the games you'll find
Gotta love Duke Nukem for sega genesis
True!!!
Ronaldino Soccer on the N64?
Mostly bootlegs, I'm sure
Well, not really. Since the Sega Master System and Genesis had much longer lifespan in Brazil, they got some strang ports. Like SSF2 for SMS.
"rotates you counter clockwise or maybe even anti-clockwise"...haha...love it!
Joe does it again! I swear every-time I got nothing to watch, hit refresh 1 last time, boom! Freakin’ love Joe. Thank YOU for creating Game Sack. 👍🏻🔥
urmie We all love Joe and GameSack but come on dude stop trying so hard...
@@canag0d Have you ever tried hard at anything?
*Xyanide* was a North America exclusive and the sequel *Xyanide: Resurrection* has been released everywhere but North America
I was about to say that. How ironic.
@@BladeBlur have you heard the tragedy of Darth Plageuis the Wise?
Xyanide also had a version for s60 symbian smartphones and it was released worldwide, IIRC.
On an american console as well
Do another episode of left in the arcades, there are still arcades games even today to not have any home console release of any generation.
I toss one in there, Survival Arts by developers Sammy Studios.
The Ottifants was one of my first Mega Drive Game. It was only released in Europe and Brasil. The Ottifant is a creation of German comedian and actor Otto Waalkes. The name is a portmanteau of Waalkes' nickname Otti and the German word for elephant. There is also a Game Gear and Master System Version. I like this game quit a bit and even made a review of it.
Pretty sure it came out in America, just under a different name.
How about a "left in the refrigerator" episode. I had leftovers from two months ago left in my fridge, and let me tell ya...it was pretty interesting.
A year later, how is your refrigerator?
12:18 A game that looks huge but feels empty, and is very repetitive? Are we sure Aquaman isn't a Ubisoft game?
Nah. Ubi games kinda like that but everything is better.
STILL WAITING TO SEE DAVE AGAIN - TELL DAVE I SAID HEY DAVE
wickeduploads Dave’s not here man....
RIP in Peace Dave White. Always glad Other Guy is here to memorialize you.
@@Casanuda He's RIPing in Peace inside an ATM Machine. Or at least he will be ASAP as Possible.
I actually kind of forget this used to be a two person channel
Game Sack. The last bastion of normalcy in a hectic world. May you release videos forever and one year more.
Joe, I just want to thank you for keeping putting out great content.
Oh and thank you joe that you continue to make those episodes i really enjoy game sacks.
Great video as always. thank you for making these.
I think I enjoy watching videos about videogames more than actually playing them nowadays... I also enjoy collecting but, it will never be the same for me
Thanks for all the entertaining content.
After remembering the old X-Play punching-bag which was Aquaman, I was surprised to hear the rather tame discussion of it here.
Ah X-Play. Such simpler times. *sighs in nostalgia*
Mr. Vidja Gamez remember Splinter Cell Co-Op Theater? Man, I miss Adam and Morgan.
@@DrGamelove Same, and it was one of the few good things about G4 beside Electric Playground, and their game documentaries, the rest was trash like cops, and cheaters reruns, along with stupid stunts to get 12 year old boys to watch Olivia Munn jiggle around on a Hawaii chair, and suck on a hot dog, and those last things killed that network dead!!
Commodorefan64 I loved Tech TV too and I’ll never forgive them for turning one of the coolest shows of all time, the screen savers into that travesty attack of the show.
@@DrGamelove Agreed 100%, Screensavers was indeed awesome, and informative.
HAHA the last few episodes... going in to the grim details of the repercussions of mindlessly killing enemies, is genius!!
Thank you so much for another awesome video ❤️
Wonderful way to begin my Sunday.
So glad this channel exists
You should do a franchise exclusive episode of looney toons games. (Looney tunes collector alert) on gameboy color needs to get some exposure, its literally one of my favorite games ever, yet gets no recognition. Its basically an open world game where you unlock tons of characters, they each come with a special ability and attack. These abilitys function as manual triggers and progress the story when used in the right place. For example bugs can go through rabbit holes, daffy can swim, the old witch can fly, Marvin can shoot, taz can spin and destroy, ect.. once a character is unlocked they can be switched to at any time in the game. There are secret characters that arent even needed to collect to progress yet still come with a function to interact with the world. There must be 30+ chracters to collect and play as, and the environments give you the opportunity to explore your favorite locations and see how all the characters interact and co-exist with eachother. Theres no arcade elements or forced linear level progression, you can go where you want and do what you want, kind of like link to the past.
LOL I was in line to watch last night, fell asleep, and 21 thousand people walked past me without waking me up, THANKS A LOT GUYS!
I'm going cross-eyed watching the Jet Moto 3 footage. Thanks, Joe.
im busy developing a game in unreal and i just have your video playing in the backround but when you said "When they are not billing you, they are making the sickest games!" i cracked up.
I love these type of episodes, so interesting
Yay! A wonderful way to end my day. Thanks Joe!
Why is your sack only left in North America?!
Joe Pro And to start mine. :-D
@@danzig3764 The sack should never be left in any one country!
Joe Pro it says North America!!
Joe Pro you’re right but that’s not always a good thing!!
I am a simple man. I see a gamesack video, i select it, i click the like button and then i watch it :)
Thanks for the nice video, keep up the good work.
Great content. Thank you!
Always good to see the descent to madness continue, playing games with the controller unplugged.
this guy just makes my sundays a little bit brighter.
Great video as per usual
14:03 Hey, it's MetalJesusRocks!!!
*Watches End Skit* God DAMNIT! *Punches Wall*
*Anger turns to remorse*
...he even WARNED ME
Joe's sarcasm was top notch in this episode
Which option was "Get in the damn robot Shinji" at the end?
I think that's right after the "Shinji, you suck" option.
Just wait until you try Neon Genesis Evangelion: 3rd Impression.
or maybe the 4th impression
"What's weird about it I hear you ask? Fear not dear viewer, I'll tell you, you dunce." This non-North American dunce appreciates it. Cheers Joe.
Never heard of these titles before. Fascinating stuff 😎
Planes, especially fighter planes regularly are in use by the military anywhere from a few months to years before they are officially adopted into it this applies to most military equipment in general sometimes it's field tests and others it's just that they actually use them before they officially announce it
Please make game sack forever 😅
I have been binge watching this channel. Why hasn't it got millions of subs?
That aqua man game seems like it probably would have blown my mind at the time if i played it. One of those games that sucks, but you have nostalgia for it.
The best part of that post credits skit was the fart noise.
Like a diamond tipped arrow shot, exploding into a pixelated firework of a new Game Sack
episode to conclude a day otherwise clouded with banality.
Thank you Joe!
Game Sack forever!!
✨💥💫💥✨
Best video game console channel videos on the CZcams
Coolboarders was a fun series it’s too bad that none of the games haven’t been re-released or remastered.
I remember the loading screen music to this day.
I think the second one was my favorite...rippin riders on dreamcast was good too which was made by the same team I believe
None of the games haven't?
That would imply that there's a Cool Boarders Remastered collection somewhere.
One of my weekly (bi-weekly) highlights!
Most, but not all, watching you all the way from Nigeria,🇳🇬😊😊
I'm from the UK. Keep this kind of thing coming!
Awesome as usual!
What about a "left in Brazil" episode?
We do have a lot of games and different versions of games made exclusively for our Master System and Mega Drive (yes- MEGA DRIVE) market
From what I've seen, even a "Brazillian Master System" episode would have enough for multiple runs.
omg i needed this right now
no matter how hard you try not to be funny, your skits always are!
I used to play Caliber .50 in the arcades quite frequently. The spindle joystick worked quite well with it and it tyook me a long time to get used to the Genesis controls
I never knew Blender Bros was NA only. I got that game for my birthday at some point when I was young and absolutely loved playing it. I now wonder where my mom even got it from here in the Netherlands.
This episode sure left an impression on me.
This man works too hard and consistently
Underrated
Joe thanks for supporting us retro fans.
I'm a somewhat new viewer/subscriber. I love your channel. I hope you're doing well and wish you the best!
It's 3am here. Tks for the amazing video.
i really miss gamesack's hyper real dare-to-compare turbo comparison screen™
Asterix Titels. Very populär in Germany and France. Every console has at least ohne Title
A left in Europe episode will probably need to feature home computers, since many interesting exclusives are from before consoles really took off.
Impressive impression!
Another Great episode! Regards fom Brazil Joe!
I love this man
Hi! As usual what an amazing video, thanks for so many years of good entertainment! As a suggestion, I remember you mentioned on the Franchise Killers (episode 3) to consider the idea of a "Franchise Resurrect Games" video starting with Streets of Rage 4. That might be a good idea for a new video/series.
Jet Moto 3 is an awesome game. It feels like it was made for the dual analog sticks this time whereas the previous games felt awkward or stiff to control.
Single Trac did make an unofficial Jet Moto 3 called STREAK, which handles and sounds just like what you'd expect from their earlier games. It even has a jump button like the real Jet Moto 3.
Amazing Video
This skit really fits to the game presented
"including you. But not you." clever!
finally a show for all us gamers here in Japan....これはめちゃ面白かった
Not sure if it was already covered, but a game that didn't left NA was the the GBC version of Crystalis, the one that was made by Nintendo Software Technology
Hi, great video, will be jumping on eBay for 2-3 of those games.
Firebugs ps1 (my favourite game at the time) Europe release only. Great single player and multiplayer fun. I still love the soundtrack. You might like it.
I like that, during the skit, the Gamecube and controller aren't even plugged in...
I think the fart noise was my favourite bit :D
Well , I thought that it was a fine little skit . Especially the glasses and the fart .
What about a left in the west episode? Sub-Terrania is one of the best genesis games and also has an awesome soundtrack. Never released in Japan
It's about time!!! Lol seems like it's been forever since your last video😄
YO, YOU USED THE PERSONA 2 MAP THEME, I WAS NOT EXPECTING TO HEAR THAT HERE!!!
08.00 in Sweden a great start of a weekend off 😍
Mille Miglia and Fire Bugs always intrigued me, but they were left in Europe. Fire Bugs is a spiritual sequel to Rollcage stage II and has a pretty cool soundtrack.
One of my favourite games that never made it to Europe is Scooby Doo Mystery for the Genesis. I'm upset I can't call this one a game from my childhood because I loved Lucas Arts styled games, still do. And the Gems sound driver isn't really terrible. Both Earthworm Jim games used Gems, and EWJ2 even has some vocals in the music. I guess it depends on how well composers used it.
I'm gonna say something so controversial and so brave.
I think Gamesack has actually improved since Dave left (gasp!).
Please don't misunderstand, I don't think Dave was holding the show back or anything - I freakin love Dave, and I miss seeing him, especially in the skits.
I just think Joe has really stepped up production quality post-Dave; the videos are snappier and a bit more streamlined ... I just feel the show has really found its groove these days!
💙
It’s not controversial or brave and who’s to say the show wouldn’t eventually get better in those aspects anyway. The show definitely isn’t as fun without Dave or a counterpart. It’s not even debatable.
@@maxpower10k That first part is just a dumb meme I was quoting.
And it's exactly debatable. Let's not tho.
I was excited to see you talk about Xyanide, certainly an odd game. You didn't talk about the amazing movie intro though, my favorite part about the game.
i playued that cal 50 game in the early 90's and spent years trying to find the game
I winced as soon as I saw Jet Moto. That's my favorite game and I couldn't bear it if you said something bad about it. But you were talking about Jet Moto 3, which is garbage, so please go ahead.
Thanks as always, Joe!
Also, fun fact, I used to be on a message board that was sometimes frequented by developers who worked on the Jet Moto series. They were working on a new Jet Moto that was progressing well until Sony came in to check on it's development. They played the game and were frustrated by how difficult it was. The developers explained that they were trying to make a game that played like Jet Moto 1, and that the challenging controls was part of the appeal. Apparently Sony informed them that people didn't want challenge, they wanted to win. Then they left and a short while later the project was canceled.
@@JazGalaxy I do remember Jet Moto 1 being rather challenging though it's been quite a while since I played. But that explains a lot about part 3.
Ironically enough, I really enjoy Jet Moto 3, and actually played it again the other day. :)
Very nice video.
Xyanide is easily one of my least favorite games ever. I was really hoping for a good arcade-style shooting game to arrive on the Xbox. When this came out, I picked it up from GameStop, popped it into my friend’s system, played for 5 minutes, and returned it the next morning. It was one of the most boring shooting games I ever played, and seeing it again here reminded me of exactly why I wanted a refund. Xyanide blows.
I like the original xbox and i'm leaving a comment.
Good! There is much to like!
@@GameSack the OG XBOX was the first great retro system. NES, GBA, Genesis, 32X, Sega CD, TG-16, TG-CD, MAME, FBA, GB, GBC, PS1 and a lot of homebrew games. And what do you mean aquaman was never interesting? The movie made one billion! There's been many great aquaman moments both in comics and in animated series.
I knew you guys were out there somewhere
wow, a new episode! but it also means, about half a month just flew away...
Episode Ideas: Hope you see this Joe
I love the T.M.N.T. idea!
The arbitrary "failure-and-restarting" on a TUTORIAL stage reminds me of the first Driver game. Also, who's the narrator there? Daria???
Games from all 3 main regions that are the same but that have completely different name/titles that’d be a good series to cover.
Best Sunday after midnights
Man i am going to have to start collecting for GBA again
I see blender bros in the video screenshot! great gba game, one of the few I bought around original release date.
Dude, how have you never seen "We're Back"!? That was a great movie!
I wasn't a child when it came out. I did work in a theater when it was playing though and we had it.
Ah, got ya@@GameSack
I think this video is the first time I've ever heard anyone say a single good word about the Aquaman game.
Joe! let’s have a candlelight vigil at the Buy Back Games on Wadsworth. RIP
