This guest is not keeping up with Economic news from Russia . They ought to listen to Russian economist like Konstantin ( of inside Russia channel ) once in a while . Russia is definitely hurting economically!!!
If the biggest conglomerate in Russia is bleeding red, I would say sanctions are definitely working!!!
Many economists would disagree with the guest in his idea that the Russian economy is doing well.
The Russian economy IS doing great - on paper. Their GDP is boosted due to military spending. This doesn't generate the same value to the country as sales abroad which bring in foreign currency. It's also why the IMF values the ruble above where it was last September. They're "cooking the books."
@@raydunn2582 Also check out Joe Bloggs. He is an economist that explains everything in detail. Very interesting how Russia is, indeed, cooking the books!

They are spending billions in weapons meanwhile some Russian still don't have an indoors toilet 😂
The US is Spending billions on Russia while Americans are living in tents in parks and cardboard boxes on open streets and you can't see that? The 'cardboard city' are growing by the thousands every moth. Maybe you take out the log in your own eyes before looking at the splinter in some in else's eye? just 5 minutes here on you tube and you will see the whole mess! Never seen anything any where even close in any half-way developed country in the world! and you call yourselves the 'Richest country on the planet'! shame on you!
Some?
31 trillion in debt and some Americans still don't have indoors toilet🤣
Around 40 procent of Russians dont have running water
Yeah. They were stealing Ukraines toilet when they don't even have the plumbing. Pitiful.
Hard times will only get harder for Russia. Putin should never have started this war.
it will be his downfall

SANCTION ARE NOT FULLY BEING COMPLIED WITH THEY ARE STILL ABLE TO USE THEIR BLACK FLEET TO SUPPLY OIL GAS IS HARDER BUT IT IS STILL FLOWING INTO THE EU
Denmark 🇩🇰 is taking leadership seriously, its doing what must be done, not so?
I agree with your guest, that we really do need some strong "statesman leaders" during the current situation. The "west" must be united in our commitment to Ukraine's victory, and Russia's defeat. Our leaders have not clearly defined our goals. "As long as it takes," is a weak promise. It indicates a willingness to continue a slow, slogging conflict, rather than taking decisive action to achieve our goals. The longer it takes, the more it costs - in money and lives. I don't understand the reticence about defeating Russia. The world would be a safer place with a crushed and restructured Russia. A Russia no longer capable of being a threat to anyone.
Current sanction enforcements are comical. If we are unwilling to endure a relatively small economic pinch, we cannot exact a crippling pinch on the Russian economy. Putin's Russia will not cease its bad behavior on the world stage unless the consequences are unbearable. Anything less will fail.
Your guest said that the Russian economy is strong, and getting stronger. I do find that a bit hard to believe, but I am not an economist. If the ruble is falling in value, and the work force is short by millions of people, inflation will increase. But obviously, until we get really serious about stopping all trade with Russia, Putin will find ways to finance his war machine. We in the west should be ashamed by our hypocrisy concerning sanctions. We stand on our soap box and preach about sanctions, all the while finding nefarious ways to bypass them. America was a net exporter of oil, and now we are back to importing. Let the drilling continue. If our strategic oil reserves are depleted, and we have to import oil, we put ourselves in a precarious position, especially if we have to fight a war.
I couldn’t agree more!
RUSSIAN PORTS SHOULD BE BLOCKADE BUT THEY ARE NOT
Now THAT is a sanction, although the interviewee here is completely wrong in every way, full of ridiculous Russian propaganda. rRp.
Russia will collapse, watch this one trick Putin hates! 😅
For what?
Funny how this guy you interview neglects to notice the pumping of oil in the us in the last year more then EVER before in the history of the country.
The US is not only energy independent but a net exporter of oil. It is currently the largest producer of oil in the world.
For news about Russian economy I check Joe Blogs...not any advisors to Putin.
Me too
A lot of people think sanctions are like a blockade. Sanctions are when the government ban certain transactions with an individual, group or nation. Obviously private property rights are respected as much as possible so sometimes they wait for contracts to expire or waive sanctions to protect innocent investors and workers. Thus decoupling major economies can take time. This delays things but recall that economies aren't black and white. It isn't about whether or not russia can buy and sell but whether or not they can do so at a high enough price, in enough tim and in sufficient quantities. Whether or not they are getting money enough money in time.
Things could be going faster and we should increase the pressure but nonetheless the russian economy isn't viable.
"The world can bottle up US carrier battlegroups" ! Show me !
Yes. Good luck on that!
I completely agree when need for real leaders however, these leaders need also to have significant intelligence and backbone
I loved parades, when I was 8.
You know, you & Ben deserve a huge pay raise, as the 2 of you carry this channel.
Cda. Eh.
The U.S. economy had a temporary boom from the 2003 (Iraq War) then 2008 HAPPENED remember? Btw Russia has burned through 50% of their Total Soviet stockpiles of armored vehicles, which are Massive, the largest in the world, so they can probably maintain this pace for another 2 years! Then they're not gonna be able to sustain this advance across the entire front, they won't have enough vehicles & they simply don't produce enough of their most modern T-90 Tanks/BMP 3's/ etc.
you can only wire brush so much rust of this old soviet kit before even that is not enough
We are thankful for the news flash section. Jonasz is excellent as always.
Duh. Where is this guy from? Lord! His views are different, to say the least
Russia of course his views are skewed
I really liked your guest for his honesty and directness. Not always easy to hear, but still necessary.
Where does this guy get his info? The US is pumping out more oil out than the previous administration. Also, Russia had to import some gasoline from Belarus already.
Lololol. The US is a net exporter of oil. That dude is a liar. He knows better.
Glad you are back. But where is "Sally"?

I'll have to check Tsun-Tzu but he must have said something about someone foolish enough to start a war and scramble to play catch-up. 🤣
Your Guest: knows what he was talking about. The west is not serious about the tactical attacks imposed on Russia for violating the national territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine! The economy of Russia continues to go strong. jtsdrd
I have seen him talk about Trump more than once and oil production. If he is going to try and help Trump he should at least get his facts straight but typical Trump doesn't care about real facts.

REGIME CHANGE FOR RUSSIA
This guy is a few fries short of a happy meal. USA is the world oil export leader (which is helping to blowtorch the climate btw), and Gazprom just registered it's first loss in about 25 years. Ruzzian O&G is absolutely vulnerable and Ruzzia doesnt have enough air defense to cover cities, missile sites, refineries, storage, production fields, etc. Fully impossible. ------ And then he lost all credibility when he said we need Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan. I wouldn't recommend having him back on, even though his points are valid about The West not fully commiting to war to the point of snuffing out Ruzzia's Ukraine annexation plan
I find the guest dishonest
Slava Ukraine 🇺🇦
This guy is completely wrong about sanctions not working.
Please note that Mr. Tabach is the "FORMER advisor to the U.S. ambassador in Moscow." Why does every General, Admiral, Advisor, Politician and the like who has both the knowledge of history and the common sense to realize that Russia must be defeated, have the word FORMER attached to them? Does no-one in any current position of power or authority have the brains to realize what MUST be done and the guts to do it?
War is not nice. Nobody wants it. However, trying to manage a war to a satisfactory end for anybody has never been possible. It's not going to start now. Allowing it to continue un-necessarily for primarily economic concerns is nothing more than another criminal act.
Because it poses a threat to the western ideology

It always, always, in a war around russia these countries are not prepared? Just the use of inmate labor over the decades could have dug bomb shelters for every apartment building, mined resources, etc. just the work-or-die choice for heinous criminal acts could make progress. Tunnels for utility substations, gas lines, subways, yadda, yadda. Bear in mind that I am not saying work people to death, just something like the Switzerland style of government. It is like houses in the desert, why not have gutters running to a cistern in case of a brush fire? Or free food for your family on a graduating scale equal the effort you put in at the community plot or the resources you supply if you have money, not time? The young have a saying, "he got over " this or that it basically means someone found a way to be corrupt isn't he cool... no he isn't.

Your article is very dishonest. 5 million young men labour force shortage doesn't make sense. Russia is out producing the west entire NATO in terms of weapons and ammunition.

Russia is not in loss.
I live in russia mere bhai. There is a labor shortage it's not a lie.

@@Sorlendingen82 I do as a foreigner been living in Russia for the past 10 years. There is a labor shortage cuz of the mass deportation of tajiks and Uzbeks. It has nothing to do with the war.
Russia says they are out producing. But bad artillery from North Korea and no new vehicles on the battlefield says otherwise. The US doesn’t use artillery. 20 years in Iraq and we fired a total of 34,000 shells. We fight wars completely differently. Our artillery production is solely for other countries. Same with stingers and javelins. We have real weapons lol.
Oh? You believe that the Russian government is telling you the truth? About anything? Come on! You cannot be that gullible! Can you?
The entire west has a GDP that dwarfs Russia’s by Trillions of US dollars and the military industrial complex makes Russian MIC insignificant in comparison. Just a basic understanding will tell you that. When the West MIC is in full operation, Russia simply cannot compete! Full stop!
All this tough talk but yet ur losing tp a country fighting with shovels😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This is nonsense.
