A wife if she is choosing to work should pay 20%-30% of the family expenses. If there are no expenses that 20%-30% needs to go into family held wealth, or children's finances ( trust, college fund, etc).
I’m glad this conversation came up. This is how a lot of women think. Their money is for them and your money is for everything. She’s already planning her escape. And let’s guess if the relationship expires she will also get alimony and child support bc he makes a good amount of money and she will also walk away with the money she saved and makes. Vvomen should move in with us. But paying half doesn't put her name on the mortgage or deed. She is simply renting and just like renting the property stays with the original owner.
