    You are a wonderful reviewer. You cover all aspects of the laptop so well. Especially choosing a demanding AAA game such RDR2 to showcase the actual performance of laptop is so well thought off. Thanks.

    One comment that if you activate HDR or even calibrate the display with a lower gamma you will see shadow details very well. You can also use MPC as your video player and use the included color management and set the gamma to 2.2. Finally you can increase the brightness using the Intel adapter display settings to reveal more details. So it is not a limitation of OLED.

    Asus always had those aesthetic designs no other company was brave enough for! Great review :)

    Well this is strange. The drawing performance seems better than MPP 2.0, but would Microsoft really allow MPP2.5 to be used in a clamshell laptop? I haven't heard of any 2-1's that use the new MPP. Maybe it's a market chokehold - and they'll only it on clamshells, but not on anything that will compete with the Surface Pro..

    Your review is great, but do try to improve the audio (spoken). I'm not an audiophile or anything, but I think the audio lacks punch.

    Oops! $4,000! Can't do that. I was hoping it was good for outside to do astrophotography, because the ad for this laptop I saw appeared to be an astrophotographer doing just that outside at night. If you know anything about astrophotography, you know it's an expensive hobby and you need a good all weather laptop for data aquasition. Many astrophotographers say that a laptops is best for data aquasition but that a desktop is best for processing the data.. Nowadays they have mini computers called ASI Air Pro that are built for outside in damp, cold or hot conditions. They only cost four or five hundred though. Don't need an out of pocket expense like that for just the aquasition computer. Hell, that costs as much as my telescope mount. WOW! I will say though, sounds like this would be a great computer for processing the data, although, a desktop for post processing astrophotography data can be had for much less money, with a lot more speed and memory. You just can't drag a desktop out to a dark sky site for data aquasition, nor do you need to. If you have your own observatory at a dark sky site, you don't need a laptop. Astrophotography deals with raw photo data so it takes up a lot of memory and and requires great speed while using multiple devices. You can expect to use up to six USB ports and up to three to six 12 volt power ports also. Too rich for my pocketbook. Maybe if I win the lottery. 🤣

    Can you use the Asus pen 2.0 on the TouchPad to draw?

  • @sinfia9775
    @sinfia9775 Před rokem +1

    1. Are you able to prop up the laptop onto a stand for drawing?
    2. How does the drawing experience compare to tablets like the latest iPads and Samsung Tab S8s?

    • @teohontech7141
      @teohontech7141  Před rokem +2

      Maybe the display lid can rest on something to prevent it from moving. If it works, it's possible to draw on it.
      iPad and Samsung have better pen performance and even better palm rejection. There are some issues with Windows that don't work well with palm rejection. E.g. having your hand swipe from left or right of the displays may call up some settings/widgets

    • @SuiTsuan_Ong

      I prop mine on a tablet stand and it works very nicely, the drawing performance is surprisingly good, smooth and accurate
      but having the keyboard attached is still a bit awkward tho, forcing me to lean my body a little closer to the screen

    The grid/grain/screen door/moire pattern comes from a mismatch with the digitizer.
    Every single OLED touch screen laptop on the market has this issue.
    Quite annoying if your eyes can see it. Takes away from an otherwise beautiful OLED panel.
