I was riding my bike near De Anza College, Cupertino, around 1990 and I heard this amazing music coming from a small strip mall. It was Tuck and Patti, playing and singing outside. I stopped and nearly starting laughing, thinking no one will believe what amazing music I heard today...Fast forward to 2023, Northfield, MN, the old opera house. Their names were on the marquee. I introduced my wife to them that night. These two truly are national treasures. Tuck is still playing that L-5.
Perfect technique , Super clean and creative. Nobodys topping this. If there is a better version I haven't seen it and I'm you tubing 3 or 4 hours a day.
It was a genious move to film this !!! It will help the transcription of Tuck's arrangements and will allow more guitar players to play Tuck's music. I wish more people had filmed performances of Ralph Towner, Michael Hedges, Joe Pass.
How excellent is this! Thank you Tuck and thank you Randy! This has given my heart such a lift in a very difficult time. Such a beautiful blessing! Peace
the is at the New Varsity in Palo Alto, right? I think this must have been in the early 80's - used to go and see Tuck & Patti often - they were, and are, just superb. 💖

Makes me want to use my guitar as a coffee table.
Difícil dizer algo diferente de Magnífico, Extraordinário, para esse músico inigualável!

I don't how people don't really know this guy. He was the GOAT for this style.
I would argue that he is still the GOAT.
Of this style.
Love Tuck ..but the GOAT in this style is joe pass .
I’d give that to Joe Pass but Tuck added a unique flow to the “playing lots of notes at the same time” style
Never saw this before, thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much for posting this.
Not too shabby.
Okay Marty
How long he have that guitar 😮😮😮
For some reason I thought Tuck did "Pure Imagination" but I guess not.
Mr. fingerstyle.
