This is an excellent review Brian. If more dealers did these types of content, it would make the adoption of PHEVs and BEVs less daunting for consumers.
Thank you for watching ! The 8.9 kWh lithium ion battery pack is located alongside the 37-litre fuel tank beneath the rear bench, unlike many other plug-in hybrid vehicles, in which the battery pack takes up valuable cargo space.🙂👍
@@aswarchangel ha ! Ok cool .. I doubt there is a way to start this model from your ‘handy’ .. I stand to be corrected but I don’t think it’s possible .. on the full EV cars however like hyundai Kona and Kia niro , you can get an app and that allows remote start !
Brian, what do you think of a normal 7 speed auto gearbox in this car compared to a CVT Hybrid. Are they drastically different to drive? Which one do ya prefer more?
Anything with gears is better than CVT, I totally understand that Cvt can be very economical, but I prefer the feel of gears changing in an automatic box
It is a 1.6 petrol run on the Atkinson cycle providing 105bhp. The remaining bhp is provided by the electric motor which combined gives the car 140bhp. The car is very quick from 0-60kph so really good at roundabouts and taking off at traffic lights. It's 0-100kph is 10 seconds so not very quick to 100kph but respectable.
Sometimes I definitely talk very fast alright! What country are you from? Sometimes people from other countries, even if they are English speaking, have to use subtitles for my videos.🫣🙂
@@doolanbrian yes I know. I recentlu bought a petrol version but my sim was that Phev . Unfortly the price in Portugal was more than 8k€ Diference and ....dont have digital cockpit😃
@@doolanbrian alright thank you for the fast answer! Will getting the 2024 model from work to replace my Peugeot 308 SW diesel, looks like i will have to say goodbye to the 8-900 km per tank.

Hey thanks a million for watching and for the kind words 🙂🙂
What a very honest appraisal
I am in England and have a 44 mile round trip to work with a socket at home so might consider one day
Hey there ! Thanks for watching!
Test drove one really nice still shopping
Great car Brian. We had one before our kadjar it was a 08 it was a great car
Here you get the information that you don't get elsewhere. But I wonder where the electric motor is located and what type of motor it is.

@@doolanbrian I meant the electric motor. Where is it located?
@@Bulltrapper135 i’m not 100% sure as the car is gone, but I believe it’s under the Bonnet, but I stand to be corrected!!
@doolanbrian Hi, I read somewhere that you can use your cell to start the motor. What would be needed to use that in Germany ?
Just to clarify when you say cell , do you mean your mobile phone? Sorry I know it’s a silly question!😊
Yes, cell phone, mobile phone, in Germany we call them Handy :-) @@doolanbrian

@@doolanbrian I’m with ya on that one, it’s a very smart looking car as well , is it a 1.4 petrol in these?

Why they don't make proceed phev?
Good point ! I’m not sure why !
Funny video for a Canadian to watch. Some 99% of passenger cars here are "petrol" automatics. :)
😊
you talk too fast to understand a word.

Must have a digital cockpit and cost no more than 27000€ to be competitive with new ev from Tesla and BYD
Hey 👋 thanks for watching .. this car is PHEV so not a car that is competing with EV 👍

Too fast for your explanations...
Sorry about that, I talked to fast unfortunately 😐
Worst rotating of steering wheel ever !
What is the maximum total range you will get from this car?
I no longer have this vehicle in Stock to check , usually they will do approximately 55 km electric and another approximately 600 km in hybrid mode 🙂
