Blue Angels over Seattle - August 3, 2023

The Blue Angels practice over Lake Washington on 8/3/2023 for the 2023 Boeing Seafair Airshow. This was taken from Lake Washington Beach in Seattle on a clear and sunny day in the upper 70s. They perform each year in this one-of-a-kind environment over Lake Washington and its two floating bridges (I-90 and state route 520), flying directly over the cities of Seattle, Mercer Island, Bellevue, Renton, and others.

I used to work at HMC on the old side of the hospital where we had no A/C so windows open and fans. When the BA practiced when they swoop down over downtown it was so loud, if I had a person in the phone, I’d have to pause and wait until the noise dissipated. They’re amazing, I saw the last Mira Mar air show in San Diego before the Top Gun Navy flight training center left Mira mar. It was the one and only sunset show. It was awesome!

It always amazes me how DEAD quiet they are and its only after theyre gone that you hear the loud boom.

Such precise flying. These Superhornets are definitely louder. I was at Boeing Field watching them take off, ans the sound is incredible.
