Mannnn I miss being in 7-8th grade jailbreaking my iPhone 6 adding the newest iPhone features such as the notch and the little swipe button on it. Never had a security risk. As long as you knew what you were doing you were fine. Updates to the IOS came with another jailbreak. Even if apple adds more features the community could still come up with more modern ones. Really sucks apple is stuck up and won’t let people fully customize the 1.5k phone they purchased. Really wanted to try the dynamic island on my SE but guess that’s a thing of the past since I’m running iOS 16

Same with an iPad I had. The golden age of jailbreaking was 10 years ago or so. The tweaks that used to be released were really nice

Unfortunately I’m still on iOS 14.2 because I don’t like rootless methods and fully untethered. I miss when I was hopeful that ios 16 and 17 would eventually get jailbreak but pwned and cool star have left. Maybe one day I’ll get to update once again

IMO, jailbreaking is dead. iOS 17 will come with sideloading. and iOS 16 had many features thats i had during my jailbreak time. I’ve also had so many issues like freezes, lag and even random reboots. Also, some apps wouldn’t even work and there were barely any good jailbreak detection tweaks
