Hi everyone! We decided to make an extended "directors cut" for this Monster Lab that is minimally edited. Tom gives some good raking tips in this one and we left in some of the feedback process which is an important part of our monster sculpting here at Distortions.
Woohoo, the extended director's cuts are my favorite!!!
If there is anything better than a sculpting video from Distortions, I haven't found it.
Please bring your show back on TV!!!
I miss everyone!!! 🧟♂️
One day ed, I want to sit and sculpt with you. Awesome as always.
We should make that happen!!
Omg I love everything you guys create! Keep up the great work!!!!
Thank you so much!!
I really enjoy watching the full process of these sculptures! Great work!
Thank you very much!
Such a cute baby sculpt. I learn so much from these videos. Please never stop.
Wonderful to hear that!
I'm pumped that you made this video!!! I LOVE the long format Monster Labs.
You guys were a huge inspiration for me to start making monsters in high school, and you continue to be today. Thank you all so much for making these videos - it's a blast being able to learn from the masters!
This is incredible
I love these videos !
Thanks so much and for encouraging the "directors cut" length!
All I need to know now is how do ya foam fill the prop! I’m begging to know thanks Ed!!
We will try and do a video on that when we get a chance. We use a 2 part foam which would not be easy for at home use so we may need to show another method. How big of a prop are you foaming?
@@DistortionsUnlimited you 2 part foam would be awesome to see! The process how you figure out the weight to cubic inch I fill a lot of masks, legs and arms but the problem I always have is the foam blows out of the latex maybe cuz I’m holding everything in my hands while doing it now I know how molds work. I need to start crafting. But it would be an honor to see the exact presses of how y’all do it! Thank you
Ah yes! We will have to do a video with Mondo showing the foaming process on some of our production pieces, perhaps an in depth behind the scenes look.
Great work! Im a big fan, and been wondering, how many years could a foam filled latex halloween mask last stitting on a shelf at room temperature?
Дарова впрочем всё нормально но видео почаще выпускай 😄
A human monster Chawawa ankle biter 🤣
Why not mold the head and body separately and have interchangeable head options?
Did you change the electric chair revenge guy
❤
the baby mutant would look like a baby that would eat my feet off
Oh, just a little nibble!
I wish i could do this... I have ADHD and no drive and no confidence to do things on my own so its hard for me to do simple tasks.
Thanks for watching. We have a video series on sculpting half masks as well. So you can start with a smaller project. A good start is just playing around with the clay, exploring and experimenting without the pressure of it needing to be a finished piece. After over 40 years of doing this at Distortions we still have characters or projects that don't work out at times and thats just part of monster making. Check out our half mask series and let us know what you think.
