  • This is a pattern for a dress, but I made a top. I used bias binding for the sleeves slits instead of lining them. I added darts to the back for shaping and discuss the different uses for convex and concave darts. Not a fail friends, not a fail. Just an opportunity to asses the size with more care. Specially knowing my size is 14 for Style Arc!
I always make the smaller size, not the larger..... what do you do?

    My Specifics:
    • I made a size 12. My size is 14…. Bad decision
    • For reference 5ft 8” athletic build hourglass, 41-34-44
    • I made it into a top, mid hip
    • Lower V neckline option
    • Bias bound the sleeve openings, ties and hem
    • Bias bound the V neckline
    • Added “convex” shaped fish eye darts for back shaping. This removed 2.5” of waist ease
    • Side slits to accommodate my hips
