Jesper is a Durast. Durast can manipulate glass, steel, wood, plants, stone, or anything solid on a molecular level. There were hints of him being a Grisha but that he didn't want anyone to know in the first season. The most obvious one was the fight between Ivan in the laundry place. When Ivan was on the floor, he was about to say "you're a grisha/durast" but got knocked out by Jesper before he could do that with Jesper saying "you should have stopped when you were ahead" (S1ep6).
That necklace in the beginning was the one that was meant to buy Inej free so that’s why he panicked and told the guy. What a simp (affectionate)

Don't know if you realized it, but it was actually Kaz who blew up the Crow Club! We see him placing the bomb beneath the picture in one of the scenes. He did it as a statement to Pekka Rollins. Kinda a "if I don't own this club, then no one else will either" thing.

Kaz doesnt like touch, that is why he is wearing gloves, so whenever someone touched him, he couldnt handle it, plus also it was too crowded which bring back memories.

@@gaia218 I just thought it wasn’t that well explained in the show. For someone who hasn't read books it looks like in the show like he just have some kind of trauma or anxiety around people. From my perspective i wouldn’t have think that it was about touch. Thats why i said it.

As a BookMal HATER I love ShowMal and love the way they changed the dynamics of their relationship. They both have more agency outside each other, less codependent and it makes them more cute instead of cringe to watch.
I agree! I literally passed from hating mal in the books to him being my favourite shadow and bone character un this season. Yes... even more than nikolai... I liked him but I think he was a little undertone, he did not have space to shine.

The other day I found out (from TikTok) that Genya’s actress is the daughter of Giles from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and I have been shook by this information.
Anthony Head (Giles) also played King Uther in Merlin, father of Morgana, so Katie Mcgrath who's one of Adam's (and most people's) favorites
I've known since I discovered her in Guilt, it's a mini series that was on Freeform summer 2016 (I think). It was a nice watch, she has the main role in it.

Not sure if you caught this but Kaz gave the Crow Club as collateral, meaning a promise of future money. So his plan was to pay Heleen once they came back and get his club back, but that obviously didn’t happen. Also Jesper being Grisha was a twist in the books too! It wasn’t something everyone knew from the start :)

Important detail that Isnt a spoiler- it's been implied since s1- Kaz has Haphephobia, or an Intense phobia of physical contact. That's why he had a panic attack in that carriage, they showed that it was other people pressing against him that was triggering him
Yeah, some people who are less informed about Kaz a D his mental health issues think that it's ONLY skin-to-skin contact where he freaks out but it's also contact through clothing that can trigger him as well as we saw in the carriage.

the original trio introduced in season one Kaz, Inej, Jesper - which are three of the best characters and went from iconic to making me para-social making me want to be a crow
