  • In this DIY Leather Leaf Earrings tutorial, I walk you through step by step how to make your own pair of Joanna Gaines inspired leather leaf earrings.
    These lovely leather earrings were made popular by Joanna Gaines on the hit HGTV show Fixer Upper. Joanna started wearing these earrings during one of the seasons and everyone has gone crazy for them. Since I am more of a do-it-yourself kinda gal, of course I had to come up with a way to make these myself.
    They are very easy, even someone who has never made jewelry before could make these leather earrings. The leather I used is inexpensive and the other items needed don't break the bank either. These leather leaf earrings would make great Christmas gifts and I love that the possibilities are nearly endless with all the leather options there are!

    Weeding tool. It's designed to remove adhesive-vinyl pieces you don't need when you've used the cricut cutter machine.
    Also NEVER open a jump ring like that!it deforms the shape, it won't ever be perfectly round again, the ends often don't want to meet perfecfly and you've set up a metal memory to open outwards. You've got two pliers. Hold the jump ring by one set of pliers on the left, with the opening facing up, take your other set of pliers and grip The right side of the jump ring. Now with a twisting motion pull the right side of the jump ring forward, while pulling the left side back, so the jump ring remains round but the end are no longer aligned, reverse to close the jump ring.

    • @RaisingNobles
      @RaisingNobles  Před 4 lety +1

      I see what you mean, but it's impossible to thread the jump ring through the leather holes if you open the jump ring "correctly"

    Is the double sided leather just a preference thing? It just makes it thicker? Curious.

    • @RaisingNobles
      @RaisingNobles  Před 4 lety +3

      It’s mostly preference. If it’s not double sided you will be able to see the not-so-pretty back of the leather
