Thank you so much for this. Ive only had my Cricut Maker for a couple weeks but was having os much trouble with the padded faux leather. I asked around and googled and even changed the faux leather pressure setting to higher setting. grr I just tried doing it with the felt settings and worked like a charm! Thank you so much !!

Canvas setting, more pressure was a life saver for my glitter faux leather. I was doing leather and it kept bunching. I did mine face up though.

This was so helpful! I tried the thicker faux leather in light pink from Hobby Lobby, and my Cricut made a mess of the earrings! Can't wait to try again on the Felt, Wool Bonded setting. So happy I will be able to cut this thicker faux leather now. Thank you!

Thank you. Your video helped me get to grips with this as I was getting frustrated. The only thing I would add is that you don't need to get a new mat each time...they Don't come cheap in the UK. I use transfer paper underneath my leather....and wait for it...I reuse the paper until the tak has gone & also use blue painters tape or brown printers tape to secure the edges. Works a treat and even though my strong grip mat is more like a light grip now ....my faux leather holds in place.

I was on the fence about which Cricut to buy, because I was worried that the faux leather was too thin. But after your video, I’m stoked about the faux leather!

another issue I have though is my actual genuine leather. my boyfriend bought a bunch of leather scraps off amazon because they're not as flimsy as the faux leather but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to cut it. have you had any luck with genuine leather? :(

Interesting! I've been wanting to get the Cricut for faux leather earring making, and reviews say it doesn't cut. I think it's probably because they are using the faux leather setting for the thicker one! So thank you SO much for this video! It has definitely made me decide YES on taking advantage of the Black Friday sale on the Cricut machine! I have a bunch of punch out shapes and the hammer and plate - but it's SO loud and I live in an apartment building with thin walls. :o) Not great for making friends with neighbors! This will help in a huge way! Thanks again!
