You should’ve just bought a VMAX to have a stock 174whp baseline and 9500rpm. The tuned M109 doesn’t even outgun a defunct Harley V-Rod with only 1250cc.
Need more intake air flow
@@blakebiggs1065 apples & oranges to me the v-max is a 4 cylinder. But I have seen a built Harley make 170 HP.
Just had Chris flash my ECU for my 2017 M109r and put it back on bike Sunday. Idles dramatically better and instant throttle response...already pulled like a freight train but pulls even more now...thanks Chris and Moore Mafia

No folks, the power after a flash is the power Suzuki designed the bike to have, before all the fun-killing politicians intersected the thing and killed it.
I'm not really into cruisers but this Suzi is awesome!
I would like to see some real performance parts for the m109r just as you can get a multitude of high performance parts for the Hyabusa, itd be great to get a decent crank, cams, heads, pistons etc for the m109r - its a short stroke big piston motor, not a bad design for a starting point.... your thoughts Chris, Harley has S&S (and other companieas) I would like to see a company produce stuff for these bikes...

I have the same bike I put a pair of Roland Sands turbine air intake and had my ECU flashed , holly shoot it’s a 👹 now.
This is a great video, obviously I like the channel and the Sportsbikes but this and MT09 recently have been fascinating in terms of gains!

Excellent video that walks the viewer through the process. Your enthusiasm comes through loud and clear and speaking of loud, sweet Jesus that 109 sounds awesome, like a freakin' P51. That is also the classiest, nicest looking 109 I have ever seen.
It is funny because a lot of us do not go in for Harley, and i doing so, we like to criticize the big HD twins for being underpowered, poor brakes, etc. The 109 is a beast with meaty inverted forks, real brakes and, as shown in your video, easily accessed via external tuning real world usable power for days. And yet "we" only bought a few 109s - it seems "we" are full of it.
I already have too many bikes, but a 109 like this one would be a nice addition, as it just looks like so much primal fun!
At one time the m109r held the record for the largest pistons in a gasoline engine.
What holds it now?

@@mrzoov3661 I wasn't sure if it had been beaten, so that's why I used the past tense. Crazy those shinny pancakes are hitting 7,500 rpm.

I can understand wanting a taller tire. These bikes handle amazing for their size and weight. Gsxr designed forks and brakes help it tremendously. My dad got one of these the first year in 06 and damn has it been fun ever since

If you think this thing is handles well for it's size get on a VMax...no comparison. Went from a 9 to a Max and completely forgot about the 9.

Glad you posted this so I can finally shut my buddy up. I’ll show him this video. He has one of these and I have a Harley VRod. He won’t race me but always claims his m109 makes more power. Clearly that isn’t true as my VRod puts out 120 hp with the basic mods done to the tire and weighs a lot less. 😂. I can’t wait to see the look on his face.
Exactly!!!! And the V-Rod is way down on displacement at 1250cc.
You can't base your numbers against these numbers. Every dyno is different. I have seen flashed 109's on the dyno put down 125/120 numbers. The only way to really compare is get out there and race to see.

Your friend might be right ,btw i jave seen a stock vrod vs stock m109r and the m109r won easily...but it also comes down to the rider.

Love sport bike but I love seeing different styles of bike hitting the dyno.
At of scientific curiousity I would love to see the "sport touring" Honda CBR 650 get dyno'd as it is the only sport 650 in it's class that I am aware of the uses a 4 banger vs the Ptwins. I would speculate that they may be heavily restricted from the factory so with a exhaust, intake, and a tune may result in extreme gains. Would be nice if you could get your hands on one and see what you come up with.
Also a Triumph Speed Triple or a Triumph Street Triple would be interesting as well.

@@snoopythedog3266 They are snobby no matter what lol. And 1 is stock wheelbase stock height and the other is stretched and lowered for the strip and longer rides, for me it's a lot more comfortable, instead of being slammed back and forth by bump on the stock length bike.

150+MPH on a M109
Do bikes have that much loss to the wheels? They're like 130hp stock right? Tune & exhaust and it's still just 106whp? Was that on 93?
That does seem like a lot of loss. I thought bikes typically have like a 10% drivetrain loss. Maybe there’s more loss with the shaft drive. 🤷♂️
I have a HD softail. Made 116HP at the wheel. Has a Harley MoCo cam, air cleaner, pipe n tune.

Sometimes is wrong with this picture ! Suzuki claims 128 HP & 118 torque ! Moore's Dyno says 76-77 horses with a flash & pipe that is the largest discrepancy I 've ever seen !
I have a 2007 with about 8100 miles on it. Stock. Would just the flash ecu be helpful on mine and if so about what that cost? I'd like to leave it stock, but get better performance and ride out of it.

I have a 2016 M109R1 B.O.S.S. with a stock exhaust (baffles drilled out), and K&N filters. It has been dyno tuned already, but I'm looking at getting that same exhaust system on mine. Would you think it would need to be tuned again for the new exhaust?

We can not do the C90 as of right now.
When you added the freedom exhaust did the FI warning light come on ? If so will the ecu flash delete this warning light ? Thanks for the vid !

Short answer yes. I wont cross promote on his channel but I did a mail in flash with my ECU to someone who works almost exclusively with M109s. I'm sure these guys can do the same.

Theyre completly differnt machines. You don't buy an M109 to go 200mph.
Ive had Busas, GSXR1000s, TL1000Rs. To be honest I enjoy the 109 the most. Yes its heavy, no it won't beat a busa, but its fun to ride, beautiful to look at, and not that I'm an attention whore, but my grey M109 gets more attention than any other bike ive ever owned, hands down. Mind you mines fairly heavily modded. Take one for a test ride, you'll see!

Theyre all the same. The M109R hasnt really changed since 06. Most sites just don't update the listing to reflect newest year. Buy it, it will fit.
