- Welcome to my coverage of the 42nd Kyneton Model Railway Exhibition . The annual Kyneton Model Railway exhibition held over the Labor Day weekend at Sacred Heart College, Kyneton put on by the Macedon Ranges Model Railway Club. In this episode we'll take a look at all the layouts on display, and I'll tell you all about them.

The viaduct on the Taradale layout is impressive, and it is a shame it wont be seen again, thank you for such detailed footage, so we can all enjoy it. The Canadian layout set in British Columbia is impressive, and very good. I had the good fortune to go on the Rocky Mountaineer a few years ago, and it brought back memories.

I really enjoyed watching this video Will. It makes it easier to produce great videos when the layouts your filming are of such high quality. Nice variety too. I 'Will' have to pencil this exhibition in for next year.

Thanks for another great exhibition report Will. It is a shame - though understandable - that Taradale is unlikely to return. The attention to detail in the layout is fantastic. Hopefully the layout can be put on display somewhere permanent so everyone can continue to enjoy it, but at least you have captured some great footage. Cheakamus Canyon has definitely grown since I last saw it and the Armstrong Station layout is great for how different it is.

Will James!!! An American layout set in British Columbia??? Is that like a British layout set in Australia? We Canadians pride ourselves on being Canadian, not American... my rant is done. I really enjoy your videos. BTW, I'm a Canadian Model Railway Enthusiast with more HO scale VR models than Canadian models. Perhaps I should model the Canadian National Railways Hume Weir Subdivision Tallangatta to Bullioh? lol... thanks again for some very entertaining and informative videos.

I am interested in knowing how they move and transport all of these modules and put them together.... for a display... is it possible to show that one day please..
Something I can hopefully organise on the future.
Checkamus Canyon modules are 5 complete modules (including lights) on wooden legs and we move them on removalist dollies. The fiddle yard is 4 seperate modules each on legs. We fit Cheakamus and Peterborough in a 22ft trailer. Took about 2 hours to set up and 1 hour to pack up.

Terrific video and some great layouts but I'll never understand guys who put so much time and effort into making their scenery look realistic then run shiny, plastic model trains with no weathering on them.

It never cease to amaze me how people who build these model railroads tend to weatherize thier trains, but miss the most important part. "Graffiti" where are you going to see a train car without it? Not unless it's new, but in a matter time, I'll get tagged. For me it ruins a whole layout. Keep in mind, I'm not a fan of "Graffiti" but it does come with the territory.
