  • I host operating sessions for a crew of up to five on the Kanunda and Emu Flat railway. In this video I have followed the roadside good in detail something not possible during an operating session with several operators. The K&EFR is not particularly high tech. The track is Peco code 100. The turnouts are operated using Peco twin coil point motors. DCC is Lenz.

G'day Vic, Thanks for commenting. I am glad that you enjoyed the video. Re lighting: I just used the ambient lighting in my garage which is a mixture of fluorescent tubes and LED globes. I just need to pick the locations to film in. 😃.
      Cheers Ken

Thanks for commenting Dave. Yes the modern HO Aussie models are excellent in detail and running qualities. Much the same as the latest British OO models. But it comes at a price. Cheers Ken

I am glad that you enjoyed the video. Yes the first of the 830 class were 950 hp. 858 entered service on 9-5-63 and was 1000hp. When I looked that up it appears that the 830 class did not enter service in strict numerical order between 1960 and 1970. Some SAR mustard pot locos did run in NSW.
      Cheers Ken 😃
