  • Luc Longley was part of the legendary Chicago Bulls team, the best team ever, that won a three-peat in the mid-late 90s. Subscribe: bit.ly/3nO2CDi
    He was a pioneer - the first Australian to reach the NBA and the first to ever win three championships. This two-part documentary charts Luc’s unexpected rise to the top, his difficulties dealing with Michael Jordan during his time with the Bulls, and then the long, slow process of rebuilding himself after his NBA career was over.
    He disappeared from public life, but his omission from the incredibly successful recent Netflix doco The Last Dance, which charted the Bull’s meteoric success, has got a lot of people asking, what the hell happened to Luc Longley?
    Featuring interviews with Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Phil Jackson and Steve Kerr.

After introductions of other players including MJ, when Luc was introduced, "Luuuuuuuuc!" was chanted throughout the pit. MJ, Scottie, Rodman started laughing. The way I see it - let them have their US memoir documentary. And we will celebrate Luc over here. Thanks for doing this documentary Australian Story. I thought it was very interesting and inspiring and shows adults and children the value of working hard, being easy to get along with, and not everyone should be the alpha pack leader. It takes team work. It was clear to me that Luc was very valuable to that world-class team and he continued to be valuable year-on-year while with them. I would like to see Luc as a panelist on TV or commentating or even doing sponsored TV ads. I think he has some really great experience and qualities. I think Michael Jordan's comments were healing for Luc and were much needed. I think they definitely needed each other to make that team work.

He tapped me on the shoulder and said “You know you can’t just wear that without me signing it”. I was wearing a Nike North Carolina Michael Jordan jersey. • @samsneadd
      @samsneadd Před 2 lety

      If i had to be around ome player it would be both. Luc has one of the best personalities. But, Jordan has one of the best minds. I spend alot of time watxhing Jordan intervews , old interviews about his thoughts on life and leadership. I also watch Kobe. There is a great one that Kobe was on a little before he passed called valutainment. In that interview, you see how Jordan was such in influence to Kobe even outside the basketball court. The jewels of wisdom is crazy. So watching this, just based on life not sports, i can treasure and pick something up from both men of value. Humility and confidence. Belief in yourself to achieve and happiness for what your character stands for. The will to help outher and the drive to help others believe that they can and not letting them fail as you also hold yourself accountable. Shouldn't even be a comparison. They won together for a reason. Both pieces are needed to be the best for of you in life. The media may have selected who to shine the story around. But, i have learned just from watching the last dance a yr ago, that no one is above the team. We must know when tto let others lead. But we must be ready to take control and lead to help the team reach the common goal. And that can be friends or family. Does not only have to relate to sports. But, my brothers and I were raised in a military family so perhaps our perspective is a little different.

      Juanita Vanoy signed a non-disclosure agreement.
      She had absolutely nothing to do with Jordan's success with the Bulls. She wasn't in the gym shooting with him.

    MJ was a narcissistic man possessed, but there is more to life than basketball and being number one. Luc is a gentle, adaptive, and smart-well rounded person. I admire Jordan’s greatness from afar, but I would much rather have a beer, hang out, and be friends with Luc. Great documentary!

      You don't know what a narcissist is or what that word means. You are just seeking attention on CZcams. Narcissist are dishonest liars, shady people who take advantage of others. MJ was a very giving person who was loyal to his friends, too loyal. He also took a pay cut his entire career so the bulls can sign other players. 🤡
