I learnd how to dodge and keep calm against an enemy thanks to him, i even posted a vid of me defeating him bc i was happy af, now i finished the game and i will do it again in journey2 w another build to get every trophy
Edit: it took me more than 30 tries to beat him, while even the elden beast took me 4 and one shotted most of the bosses before godfrey
Tbf he was underleveled , no upgrade on flasks and very low health
@@DrRAZI99 fair, but it’s inexcusable to not have at least one flask upgrade by then, you literally have to ride past a golden seed to even get to Margit. And the health thing is also partially his fault, as it’s his choice to not upgrade his health.

There's something so funny about hearing someone call Godrick "invincible".
This is the same dude who might be one of the biggest jobbers lore wise of any FromSoft character. Godrick hid with the women and children to escape the capital during the shattering, hides in Stormveil because he's terrified at the thought of Radahn stomping him, and got annihilated by Malenia before licking her feet just to have his life spared.
My dude is the biggest L taker in Soulsborne history.
I legit had more trouble with the knights than Godrick
To be fair, anyone would be afraid of Radahn or Malenia
It’s funny because even in game, Margit is way harder than Godrick, the boss he guards imo. Those long reached delayed attacks and long combos are nasty
Godrick's design and voice acting is so damn cool though, and him being a runt and a cowards adds to his character in my opinion. Deffo one of my favourites in Elden Ring
Well loser or not, i'd take his Great Rune over Malenia's like anytime 😏😏😏. And a guy who got his hands on a best rune in the game can't be such a loset yeah?

@@justinw8916 all about the playstyle i guess. I play hyper aggressive so both Rennala and Malenia i just kept on their ass and staggered them alot where if you try that with Maliketh he will destroy you haha

Unpopular opinion but I actually found godrick harder than Margit and I found margit’s moves really easy to dodge

I remember my first playthrough when the game came out,it took me 3 hours to beat Margit. Then I went and beat Godrick in that same session, took me 5 tries

People here really giving him hell for his playthrough but tbh most people that struggle the way he did quit and don’t finish the game. He stuck with it and pushed through good for him.

I don't know why people in this comment section are acting like Godrick is similar difficulty to the bosses that are chilling in Limgrave. I do agree that xQc definitely struggled a lot more than most, but the guy is still a main story boss, he isn't some complete pushover.

@@rhysofsneezingdragon1758 Yeah that seems like a reasonable amount to me. It took me like 15-20, but it probably would've been closer to 20-25 if I hadn't gone back to Limgrave after Margit.

I made the original comment because lots of people were mislabelling him as a 'pushover'. A pushover is a fight like 'The Beastman of Farum Azula' or really any of the fights in Evergaols. The only reason people are calling him a pushover is that they think they're hot shit since it didn't take them as long to beat him as a popular streamer.

In my first playthrough i too struggled with Godrick a bit, took me 10ish tries to understand how to dodge but after that i could do it 1st try consistently. The only ones i cant get down for the life of me are fallingstar beasts and Margitt.

I beat Godrick without any spirit ashes or cooperators. But to be fair, I didn’t use spirit ashes until I got to Godfrey.
everyone acts like godrick is easy but in a normal not overpowered with stats playthro .... you either learn all the positions to stand and dodge or he will one-2 shot u . No boss is easy in this game

Godrick attacks are slow af, eh dont hit hard and is telegraphed enough that you can see whatever thing he will do. REALLY, he is a jobber, If you got margit, you can Get Godrick. It took me a good like 10-15 attempts at Godrick, I'm not great at this game. Takes me some time to learn the boss' attacks and how to deal with 'em, and then I still screw the pooch on actually executing my plans. Still, rad boss fight, I found him easier than Margitt.

@@fredflintstone3513 it's weird that most of the "hardest" bosses in soulsborne is took me like 3 to 5 tries while bosses that the community deemed "weak" kill me alot of times, it's really weird
@@fredflintstone3513 yeah I know. My strength build was pretty set so I staggered her like crazy. Didn’t get much poise breaks tho. Had colossals so I had to rely on the jump attacks because most else was pretty slow.

@@gotworc bc there are so many different builds. Are you using summons? Faith? You aren’t pure STR clearly. Why don’t people realize there are dozens of different build set ups?
@@gotworc depends of your build if you are playing as a mage 25 is enough but if are fighting with pure strenght build you want as much as possible.
@@gotworc tbf it depends how you play, a mage with a +10 spirit summon will have an easier time at 30 vigour than a pure melee no summon with 60 vig.

@@callum6224 I mean I did say 20% cuz that's how often I felt like she did something different despite me being in the same spot as last time, a good example is that once I got malenia to P2 she sometimes would either do the scarlet aeonia or the one where she summons ghosts to fly out at you, both times I was roughly 3 rolls away, so it's not like I ever said the boss was completely RNG, plus it isn't only about positioning otherwise Elden ring bosses would be just as easy to loop as Ds2 bosses, it's distance from player, players action, and how much poise DMG your dealing, these three things determine a bosses actions but none are able to really be exploited like we could do Ds1 and 2

This is a huge problem that a lot of people do they don't prepare for these fights I noticed that this guy was only chip damaging him it literally only took me one tried and I beat him but it was because I was prepared. Sure eventually you can beat him like that cuz you're going to learn after 5 hours or 4 days you're going to learn the enemy's patterns but to me the frustration and the time spent isn't worth it so you should definitely just level up before you go into these fights
And it is also funnier, I love games that encourage to explore outside of the main quest, I found like most of the caves and catacombs/hero graves around the world

Oldish comment, but obviously Margit needs to be very harsh boss, because he is supposed to be gatekeeper making you explore the open world and return later, instead of funneling you straight through Stormveil and on to Liurnia.
