Final Fantasy 7 VII Rebirth - Brutal Challenge: Army of the Damned (VR Trophy Guide)

This is an optimal setup for the first brutal challenge from Chadley, and contains the recommended materia loadout for most brutal challenges. This is required for the Virtually Renowned trophy and is also a requirement for a collectible for the 7-Star Hotel trophy.

This materia loadout will work for all Brutal sims except for the final one, Rulers of the Outer Worlds. My video for that sim has a different loadout with the same general strategy. If you are missing any of the materia (such as the third Elemental or Magnify materia) for the first few sims, you can slot in any materia of your preference instead. If you are unsure, you can use any stat-boosting materia.

how did u get more materia slots on your weapons. my sleek saber only has 5 slots and 3 weapon skill slots

Those improvements are all tied to your weapon level. Ideally your weapon level should be around 8 in order to get the required stats.

How do you get Aerith to start with 2 ATB, doesn’t the chocoking cape only give 1??

You combine it with the First Strike materia to get 2.

how are you getting level 3 spell to only cost 1 ATB???

It still costs 2 ATB, but I use ATB boost to get to 2.

Yes, this strategy works very well in Hard mode. I recommend completing all the Brutal sims first to get the Gotterdamerung as well.

Feel free to replace any of the 3 Magnify materia with any materia of your choice, as it's not all that necessary for the general strategy and only serves to make the sim faster. You can pick any stat-boosting materia if you have no preference.
