- This is an optimal setup for the final brutal challenge from Chadley. This is required for the Virtually Renowned trophy and is also a requirement for a collectible for the 7-Star Hotel trophy. You will obtain the Götterdämmerung after completing this simulation.
TIMESTAMPS
00:00 Materia
02:02 Round 1 (Phoenix and Kujata)
10:05 Round 2 (Titan and Bahamut)
15:48 Round 3 (Odin and Alexander)
22:25 Round 4 (Gilgamesh)
30:15 Round 5 (Virtual Sephiroth) - Hry
Note: The video skips over two materia slots in Cloud's armor. For those, slot in ATB Boost and any materia of your choice. If you're unsure, you can pick any stat-boosting materia.
Then I’ll probably have Assess as one of the Materia of my choice once I get to Sephiroth.
I will say this is the most friendly setup I have tried for this challenge still haven't cleared it. Gilga keeps hitting me hard
Holy so this is basically Gilgamesh protorelics + Gilgamesh + Sephiroth damn they arent messing around. Thx for materia tips this games combat is so fun to learn and get better at!
Thank you bro, really thank you. This challenge Is impossible, but with your build and strategy i did it.
Wish I could do it lol 😂 I died on sephiroth it’s near impossible to me lol
The look on my face when I fought Phoenix and Kujata and spent all my time killing Kujata just for Phoenix to res him back
😂😂😂 that’s both sad and hysterical
To be fair, that is the best strategy. As long as Kujata is tethered to Pheonix you can't build pressure or stagger. You have to kill kujata once, then kill pheonix, then kill Kujata again. That's how I was able to do it.
@@nadilenebudskithat is correct. It sucks but that's how you do it hahaha
Yeah honestly it’s so annoying. That and the Gilgamesh fights are most annoying. Pheonix just does annoying AOE stuff and kujata just flails a giant hit box around LOL
Timestamps for the sake of convenience:
2:03 : Round 1: Phoenix and Kujata
- 5:36: Right here y'all, is why everyone must target the healers first (still awesome how you showed how the tag team worked however)
Edit: thanks to those who told me this is not in fact, a case in which one must 'target the healer'. However, that being said, the way in which the duo works is still unique, dare I say fun even. That being said, always target healers, unless you can't/have to target someone else
10:05: Round 2: Titan and Bahamut Arisen
15:48: Round 3: Odin and Alexander (Strange how this particular battle didn't have the usual Vs Summon theme however...)
22:25: Round 4: GILGAMESH!!! (love the Battle on the Big Bridge theme as well! if only it was the theme he had at Chapter 13, that second phase especially...)
- 25:46: I'm sorry WHAT?! *proceeds to ROFL* AWESOME!!!
30:15: Final Round: Virtual Sephiroth
Thanks! I'll update the timestamps with these. Unfortunately, you actually cannot target the Phoenix first because it's virtually invincible until it resurrects Kujata once, so you must complete round 1 in the order shown.
ah I see... damn that's actually pretty clever of them
still... if you can, ALWAYS TARGET HEALERS!!! lmao@@TrophyGuide
What you fail to understand about “targeting the healer first” in this instance is how Phoenix’s tether works. You literally can’t kill him until the tether is broken which means getting rid of Kujata first even if that means he gets revived bc the tether won’t be there anymore.
@TrophyGuide already said that, but thx anyway@@PSNMirru
Excellent video. Got it on my second try using this setup.
Thank you for sharing.
And thank you for using our guide! Appreciate the feedback and support!
Holy shit! You even fight Sephiroth in a VR challenge?! Damn! A totally missed opportunity to add him playable to VR missions!
Wait til you see the legendary simulations 😊
The game literally tells you that you can unlock both Zack and Sephiroth in VR mode once you beat the legendary VR missions
@@alexisc.7887this is true and untrue, yes you unlock them, but only for their specific missions. You can’t use them in any other missions. I’m pretty sure that’s what the first comment was saying lol and I agree w him
How is it a missed opportunity? You do play as him… and Zack.
This looks waaaay easier than my playthroughs. I have Gilgamesh one shooting me at the beginning of the fight!
What happens if you fail the combat sim midway through? Are there any checkpoints? Or do I have to do all 5 fights again even if I fail on virtual Sephiroth for example?
There are no checkpoints, so you will have to do them from the beginning again. Later on, there will be legendary sims with 10 rounds that you must complete in a row, and I have videos for those as well.
@@TrophyGuide thank you
Get ready to go through all these rounds dozens of times and then instantly die on sephiroth and redo it over and over
I'm having a bit of trouble with the Odin part of the simulation. I can have him Vanish decently early then I can kill Alexander close to or even before Odin comes back but once he uses Zantetsuken its so over. Anyone know a good way to avoid him using it? Do I just have to DPS him into being pressured then try to kill on stagger?
He activates Zantetsuken based on whether or not you're getting hit by his attacks too often, and if you aren't doing enough damage to him.
As far as i know use atb skills often and dont get hit often
Use ATB skills when he isn’t using moves of his own. If you do it while he’s using a skill he’ll instantly counter you. I mostly play as cloud against Odin as I can counter him with punisher. You have to keep pressure on him and that will reduce the risk of zanzetsuken
@@andimari9194 He only counters you if you have that weird purple bracelet debuff some of his attacks give. As far as I've been able to tell anyway.
I swear that battle music sounds like Star Wars phantom menace the last big battle theme.
I honestly didn't catch Red's Summon, does it matter?
No, the summon is not important. You can equip Odin on any one of the characters if you want the damage.
Really struggling on Gilgamesh dude think the plat is over for me
You’ll get him down with some practice. Have some faith in yourself.
@@TrophyGuide thanks for the vote of confidence I see in your videos you switch characters when gilga approaches you gon try that
Where is limit siphon located
Chadley has it I believe. After you first beat Gilgamesh and get all the protorelics you can get it from Chadley on Gilgamesh island
Tifa and Aerith arnt good for this?
This is just an example, and you should be able to do this with any party.
@@TrophyGuide ah ok, I just read optimal lol.
I beat everything in 7 Remake Part 1, Got all 3 gotturmundungs from The summon gauntlet fight and Weiss, but I used cloud, tifa and Aerith primarily (main Tifa specifically).
Out of curiosity what makes Barret and Red More optimal in rebirth for this Summon gauntlet for the guttermundung
@firefistgaming117 The game has not been out for very long (only people with review copies have even made it here), so there will certainly be strategies that will work for other characters, but this is a consistent setup that will work for the purposes of clearing the simulation. It is important to note that "an" optimal is not necessarily "the" optimal, as there can be other optimal strategies with different characters, and those strategies will be found once other people get to this point. Tifa capitalizes very well when bosses are staggered, and for this simulation specifically, you are constantly fighting two bosses at once, so it's more difficult to take advantage of that. If you do want to use Tifa and Aerith here, I'm sure you'll be able to with no issues.
@@TrophyGuide ah thanks for the clarification, so I'm guessing Barret and Red just do well against multiple bosses at once then? I'm not opposed to using them :) I actually like red alot
@stgaming117 They performed well for this specific situation, yes. It's possible that any other combination can perform just as well, but I've found that this strategy is very consistent and will succeed every single time.
The problem is the AI ,sometimes they get hit by every single attack and other times they tank everything, with the materia to get Ap when block+ perfect blocks and buffs.
I just i dont understand , iswitch character and when i try to dps for 3 seconds 2 member almost dead. 2nd try try i just used Health regen and i didnt even bother and they tanked everything.
So stupid.
Will you do these VR challenges for me? haha lol These VR challenges are unreasonably difficult. Way more difficult than FF7 remake.
I really dont like locking limit breaks behind synergy skills, you just dont get to use them and it massively sets the gameplay back. Dunno why devs thought that was a good idea cos i dont even care to get gotterdamerung if i still have to unlock levels. So many weird decisions in this sequel. Also making aga spells cost 2 atb means they just wont get used.
I think that once Gotterdamerung unlocked, for the hard playthrough you get Cloud the Enhance Expeditionary Medal + limit siphon, you give someone else the gotterdamerung. Start of battle you just siphon and your max limit is available.
But I'm with you, this system is not optimal. Plus, I understood way too late the requirements to update the limit level and I'm still a bit ashamed by that ^^"
Literally zero thought went into this from the devs. A 5 round boss rush where if you somehow manage to get to gilgamesh he just wipes you in seconds.
The endgame needs some serious adjustments.
Well it’s called “brutal” for a reason. Ive made to him twice and almost killed him all you gotta do is make sure you PERFECT block and he will be constantly staggered and pressured over and over. This is loads easier than the hellions intent challenge where most enemies just one shot you
