Rest In Peace, Richard Gordon Price, the late husband of Dianne Lee. Rick was the bass guitarist with The Move, Wizzard and The Wizzo Band. In 1976, Rick became the manager of Peters & Lee, he later married Dianne and they formed the songwriting and performing duo, Price & Lee.
I will never forget Peter's and Lee. An integral part of my adolescence. I loved them then and always will. Thank you Brian for this beautiful montage ♥️
Peters and Lee are just somehow radioactive with "1973-ness" They were talented, the songs hold up well and I have always had a soft spot for this comeback single after hearing it introduced on Radio 2 in, yes, 1986. As Manhattan Transfer and Darts showed it was possible to have success in the later 70s with a more archival approach to repertoire but it needed edgier and sharper styling, especially from 1978 onward when to all intents and purposes the 70s were over and we were onto the styles now thought of as "eighties". In some ways what are The Eurythmics or Yazoo other than a sort of 80s Peters and Lee?
well also their come back single was not promoted very well also didn't help. They did manage to get it on live from the piccadilly and on the grumble weeds show in 1986.
@@pastorbri I didn't (too busy buying the theme tune to "Connie": don't ask!) Would happily download it now but it doesn't seem to be on any of the services.

this is true but it was in 1978 he became their manager as their last one, John Franz died in 1977.

this should have been their big comeback song though.......yet it did not crack the charts.
A nice tribute Brian, you have put it together very well. I don't know a lot about Peters and Lee so a few facts there I wasn't aware of.
Thank u....I think as there is sooooo little on them out there it was good to do a short video on them....
Nice one Brian, I always wondered what happened to them.
just hope they were never fully forgotton.
@@pastorbri not forgotten by me
@@susannordstrom5065 thank goodness as most have forgot them now as they hardly get a mention on any nostalgic shows.....
