Ever notice how clean the cast members clothes were. They must have had excellent cleaners in the old west.

I like Klein OK, but imagine what this scene would have been like with Tom Selleck in the part.
Silverado, one of my favs for sure. Lawrence Kasdan is an incredible movie maker! silverado, Empire strikes back, body heat, Raiders, return jedi... and on. movies that never seem to tire out.

@@danielbrown3461 lol...I was so enthralled in the movie I didn't notice...I failed to emphasize "Tombstone " without doubt one of my favorites, Kurt Russel never quits amazing me with his every performance.
Casting John Cleese in this movie was brilliant and weird.

Kasdan owed Kevin Costner a role. As he stiffed him on an earlier movie, The Big Chill. Then got a leading role in, The Body Guard..

Two most under-rated Westerns of all time are this, and Rustler's Rhapsody.
Such a great movie! I haven't seen this movie for over 30 years! This was supposed to be the resurgence of the Western, I guess in a way it kind of was because Tombstone followed not long after And then Maverick with Mel Gibson But then wild wild west totally screwed the pooch.
A few I really loved in the late 80s, 90s, "Unforgiven", "Young Guns" and the one with Sharon Stone, Leonardo DiCaprio, Gene Hackman, etc. "The Quick and the Dead"...there were few in oncoming years just when we thought we're done with them in the 50s lol, plenty of excellent westerns in the 60s, 70s and kept going. I've seen some goodies in the 2000s. Love the one with Selma Hayek and Penelope Cruz( pitter pat goes my ♥) too bad I can't remember the title.

Straight up han solo and greedo shit right there
Everything’s a near miss in this movie, plot, dialogue, action. But the great cast and the sparky direction and editing elevate it a ways above average. It’s just a fun throwback and Costner is tolerable, which is itself a rarity.

Don't know what movie you're watching. Calm people walking up to you and calling you out, reasonably, is more menacing than a blowhard yelling and posturing.

Would you wear a hat that was sitting on someone else’s head for even an hour? I wouldn’t. Even if It was mine. And especially back then when people bathed like once a month. Their hair would be horrendously filthy.

Wasn't a fan of Costner in this movie. I thought him the weakest of the actors.

This was a Disney World Western. So fake throughout the entire movie. It had very awesome actors, but the script was just wrong for my liking. It's probably the reason it didn't get a very good rating. 😢
