    Very nicely done you are a master in a world of "mobile repair tutorial" fools wasting everyone's time. Thanks for being a solid dude and trying to actually help people interested to learn.

    Cool video once again, I really love how you explain things in detail! I've done a couple basic port replacement jobs for a few buddies. But at the time I didn't have a heat gun lol. I use a Weller adjustable soldering station and a Agptek 898 hot air station. That usually gets most of my basic repair jobs done, but I would love to have a lab like you've got!

      Thanks Josh! Not sure how I overlooked this comment. Most of my equipment is really cheap. I'm realizing that the most important tool is the microscope. You can make just about any tool work for you as long as you can see what you're doing. :-)

    Have you thought of using pcv pipe for your extraction? Ribbed pipe makes more noise. There is a way of doing without glueing the fittings so you're able to spin it?

    Nice job. What is the liquid you put the toothbrush in (the one in the red container) before scrubbing the flux off? Also you are using two types of cans, one containing compressed air, but what's the other one?

    @VoiceSriLanka Před 7 lety

    Whenever i repaired the Charging port I ended up damaging the Mic and had to be replaced... i was wondering what did i do wrong.. may be too much temperature ( I always keep it to 350C) and covers the mic all the time... now I know its the ultrasonic cleaning which damages the mic. ..
    Thanks for sharing it mate.

    I am attempting to learn to do this and the two points of interest this video has left me with are: the removal of the original port seemed like it might require some skill, is there anything a beginner might "warm up" on to get a feel for how to do that without ruining their phone, and when you soldered the wires it looked like you targeted them individually, is that also as difficult as it looks?

  • @fritzj6803
    @fritzj6803 Před 4 lety

    I usually use a soldering iron to remove the charging port after flooding the pins. It comes off just as fast

    How would you go about desoldering a micro usb post that’s soldered to a flex ribbon cable? Should the temperature of the heat gun be the same?

    I have a MetroPCS Galaxy S7 with the "BLACK SCREEN OF DEATH" syndrome. I have watched many of the "FIXES" on here. All do the same thing. Reboot the phone with different button combinations. These phones run SUPER hot. Have you worked on any? Have you done any backlight repair?
