- Welcome to the first ever Yecats Hobby Hangout! Where Grant discusses his biggest passion - the hobby.
Today Grant is joined by recent A Song of Ice and Fire GT Best painted winner OJ Tidball to talk about his incredibly well painted Free folk army and delve into the mind of a man that will not paint unless he has it planned out.
Join us in unlocking the tips and tricks of one of the communities finest painters. And observe possibly one of the most realistic snow basing i have ever seen.

Thank you so much for the awesome photography Grant. I swear they look even better than in real-life!!
Must give a massive shout-out to Paul Winter and James Stanford for running a super smooth LGT ‘23 and Thijs de Jong from Rotterdam White Scars for the independent paint judging!!
Well deserved! ^Thijs
You’re welcome mate. They were a pleasure to film.
Absolutely fantastic content! Really loved seeing the creative process behind these figures. Inspiring. Would love to see another showcase like this in the future.
Really masterful OJ, congratulations on winning!
Thank you 😊
Great work OJ. The level of your minis is awesome. Really happy that you’re getting such great recognition.
Thank you buddy!! Wait til everyone sees yours!!
Great work!! Tks for sharing!
Thank you 😊
These are such high quality minis OJ, it almost feels like sacrilege fighting them….. almost… pass me my Boltons 😉😂
Lol - you’re pretty used to taking them off the table Karl!! 😂
Nice
Thank you
Great stuff! Well deserved winner and love to see those Baratheons painted up! ^Thijs
Thanks for the comment Thijs. Been loving the games you recorded from the weekend, can’t wait to see more.
@@Yecatsminiatures Thanks! We still have 7 more batreps to go :O
Busy weekend!! Can’t wait to see them. Watched masarath vs Sophie last night
Thank you Thijs.
Lol at least it’ll be less models 😂
@@Yecatsminiatures Nice! Subscribed btw :P Didn't realize we were not before XD
I know it has nothing to do with the video, but I just saw Tactics announced and I want to say that I really hope you cover that game right from the start, because what little has been said at this point sounds really good.
Do your baratheons in a castle theme!!
Like a castle courtyard? Mustering to go on campaign?
Hi Oliver, these models look amazing! I’m a new player starting my own free folk army so this is very inspiring! Are your models removable for the most part? Looks like single models definitely aren’t, the bear riders I assume you track wounds and they stay put?
Hey Gus.
Welcome to the most fun faction out there - generally terrible stats, due to a stiff breeze, and still people whinge about playing them 😂.
Wun Wun and Varamyr are glued onto their movement trays.
The Bear riders are magnetised through their feet so yes they can be removed!
All the other models are modelled onto their individual bases so pop in and out of the tray and I use magnets on the bottom of the bases and unit tray for transportation.
@@O-JTidball Thanks so much, magnetizing the bear riders feet is very clever! Do you have an instagram or anything to see more of your work?
