And for those who don't know, a pressure pot helps to remove all the visible bubbles inside the resin. Bubbles ruin the look of resin which is why they need to be removed with a pressure pot.

Is Alumilite resin different to epoxy resin, or is Aluminite just a brand of epoxy resin?

Alumilite is a brand, the Clear Slow might be the most commonly used for pen blank makers and preferred by turners. Because of the set up time of the resin and ease of turning. It also has the hardness when finishing which helps avoid scratches.
