The English House Restaurant is Marco Pierre White's stunning restaurant in Singapore.
Last year I had an amazing trip to Singapore and Australia. Taking in some truly stunning experiences, Uluru, Sydney Harbour bridge and First Class with British Airways to name but three.
However one of the planned highlights was a trip to The English House Marco Pierre White in Singapore.
You see nearly 30 years ago ( god I feel old ) I worked for Marco at his first restaurant Harveys in London.
So my anticipation and expectations were at a level off the scale and you know what ..... they were surpassed !!
Hopefully from the video you can see what a special place the room is, the images will give you an idea of how great the food was .... take my word it tasted even better than it looks.
What you can't see and which cannot go without mention, how wonderful the service was, welcoming, attentive with a hint of classic elegance from a bygone age. I was a very very happy boy.
Another nuance that unfortunatley you can't experience from the video is the music in The English House. The playlist throughout was amazing.
However on the video I am restricted to You Tube's Royalty Free audio library.
But just try and picture this , at one point I was drinking champagne from a classic coupe with the theme from James Bond playing....... I mean it just does not get any better.
