Shop owner here DO NOT DO WHAT HE DID.....you can and will damage a caliper without putting it into service mode. Just releasing the parking brake does not do this.
can the vehilce be piut into service mode to back off the e brake through the driver information center? meaning do you need a computer to do this or can the vehicle do it on its own?
@@motorsandmedicine1383 some other videos I saw have us making two wire tool that attaches to a 12 volt battery to back the Electronic Breaking piston pressure off to allow pushing the piston back. Please confirm you are saying that is not needed???

You forgot to remove the grease from the tip of the slider pin. This is very important!
I actually did do that just not on camera. Brakes have been perfect. Thanks for watching.
So you didn't have a problem with the Electronic parking brake motor? You just spun it back?
Yes it will free spin back as long as you disconnect the connector.

You don’t need a computer to do it. The vehicle does it on its own.

No didn’t need to put it in service mode.
How are those ceramic pads holding up? I’m due for my second set of rear pads on my 2022 Pathfinder SMH!!
They are perfect! My wife says the car has great stopping power and the pedal feel is nice and firm.
Which way is the piston supposed to spin in
Clockwise to get it recessed back in. It’s a bit stiff but if you keep at it it will work. Good luck.
