- In this week's epic vlog we head to Wrexham where the famous TV show Welcome to Wrexham has transformed the community! We take in a parkrun in Cheltenham before heading to the Turf Pub, watch Wrexham v Notts County and then run the Wrexham Half Marathon! All in an awesome FORDY RUNS Weekend!

Was great to see you...and your brother. Thanks for cheering me and Lyndsay on at the end. Much appreciated! 👍
Any time!
Great video Chris, love these Vlogs you do, my brother lives in Cardiff, now there's a half you need to do! And your bro' is a legend, "Bye boys!" 😄
I’ll add this one to the list! Thanks for the love
This has been on my list for a while now because the medals look ace!! Looks like a good one to do.
FYI Wrexham is now a city 🤪 it got promoted in 2022 🏴
I like these fun facts
Another awesome vlog Chris. You should give the Chester Half in May and the marathon in Oct a go one year. Keep on pushing...love your work.
Thank you
I think it’s important to recognise that, like with many races such as the one my club organises, they literally can’t have the roads closed for any longer, as it’s a working industrial estate even on a Sunday.
As a result, they’ve got to stick to the road closure times; the starting area’s road didn’t even close until 5mins before, so they’re right on the deadline for it.
As much as it’s about giving everyone a chance to run, I do think it’s important to be aware of the reasoning behind it; I know the organisers well, and if they could they would have a longer cut-off
That being said… it’s awesome to see you going to those more “niche” sort of races - and if you’re after a video idea, linking in with a race director/organiser would be interesting!
Great video.
Chris, for info, Wrexham has a few big running events and some of them do go more into the town. You did what the locals refer to as the Village Bakery Wrexham half, which is why it's run out on the industrial estate (it's where the bakery has their factories) and that's why you were given Welsh cakes at the end .
I've done that ½ a few times and the last time I ran it I finished just a couple of minutes ahead of Louise Minchin who used to be on BBC breakfast. If you ever wander this way again, you should check out Shrewsbury or Telford parkruns. Both are really good (and very well attended)
Thank you
But did you buy any cheese?
Ooh nice medal, they had wooden ones last year. You're right parking is a fair walk, I parked in the hmp prison car park.
yeah thats where i was
There are several roads close to the start that you can park on and are just a short walk from the finish line. Done this race three times now and it definitely is PB course.
Well done, medal looks quality :)
Thank you
Great video Chris. congratulations. I love soccer.
Thank you
Saw you at Wrexham. I'm actually in the background of your trainer shot when you did the Speed 4 review. Was a flat course that.
Love it
Nice one Chris. Are you guys at the Cambridge half this coming Sunday? Simon said it’s his favourite!
