Saw this on Bosnianbill's channel - and immediately ordered it. It seems perfect for practicing whenever I have a spare moment and it should fit nicely in my purse. ☺
Just went thru mine three times in a hour. Got a re-pin kit and ive got spools mushrooms upside down and im really looking forward to some new stuff for keyways and i need to buy different pins now lol LOVE IT!! Fell asleep a couple times it relaxed my anxiety so much while picking it lol
I don't understad why Sparrows didn't make it a five bible lock or at least four bibles and a blank area. That way pins wouldn't poke through the bottom of the core in such annoying places but in between picking positions where it's simple to shove them back with a pick.
I'm not sure, but I think something is wrong with mine. Once I get the final side picked, 3 demons from hell appeared and have sworn to take my soul. Anyone else run into this problem and know how to solve it?
This is a freaking hilarious comment!! How is there not a TON of likes!?? Maybe because in addition to lockpicking I'm also a horror buff I liked it more than others...made me think of hellraiser cenobite type images
Have had mine for years now, love it, very solidly built. One complaint, and it's a well known one by now; the top pins of the opposing chamber getting stuck in the bottom milling of the plug while you're trying to pick the lock. Is there a recommended fix for this? I'm considering either trying to glue a shim on the plug so the milled slot is covered, or possibly modifying a Schlage key to be a specialized tension tool. Happily, I have a key machine, so should be able to accomplish this with a minimum of fuss. Wanted to get Sparrow's take on the matter though.
hello, i cant pick the rvolver at the european way, only at the american way (upsidedown). but its the perfect lock for highsecurity doors, if the keywey is like evva. the american keyway is so big, i lost my multipick pick in the keyway. never found again. 😁
I just started lockpicking a few weeks ago and got this. The first day I worked it, the first two bibles went pretty quickly, but I had a tough time with the serrated pins. Now, however, I am able to reliably beat all four in about 10 minutes using a CI 25 short hook and a CI 50 ergo wrench in the top of the keyway. I haven't repinned it yet, but I keep hearing about how this is really difficult for folks. Is there something I am doing that is cheating or is something wrong with my setup? All I am doing is going through the pins from back to front to set them and when I get through the row twice and it hasn't turned, I let up slightly on the wrench to see if I am in a false set. About half the time it pops and I am off to the next bible. I have repeated the entire cycle about twenty times so I am pretty sure it is not a fluke.
I'm new to lock picking and I just got mine. I have more time invested watching YT videos than I do lockpicking. I walked around this in about 20 minutes. I thought it was odd being I can't open an American lock 1100.
A big problem with this item is that the bible below the active one binds in the core slot. It should have an odd number of bibles that are not aligned with each other
I removed the last few pins from the first chamber and when i rotated around to other chambers, 3 springs got stuck and jammed it up and i had to remove all the pin stacks and destroy 2 springs and damage 1 spring end (which was able to bend back). It appears that if you remove a driver pin + spring from chamber #__ you need to removed the pin+spring from ALL chambers of that same number, example. "Driver Pin #1 + spring from ALL 4 chambers". Unless this is a non-reproducible problem (which i doubt) I think it should be mentioned as very important, so people avoid having this same issue. "included with THE REVOLVER are all the parts you need to remove some pins and make this an easier lock to pick open. " May add something like "WARNING: Always remove all pins in same stack position from all chambers before picking to avoid spring/pin jamming problems. (Example, if you want only the first 3 pins, remove pins from chambers 4 and 5 and 6 in ALL chambers before rotating core.)" Also, I am completely satisfied with the difficulty of picking this lock.
Yep...................Ive just done this too. Sparrows really need to add warning to this given that a high proportion of buyers will be newbies. (like me)
this lock is just so much fun lol . so what if i cant beat the serrated pins. its not annoying at all lol ( chucks the revolver through his window and gets some rye)
Consistently throughout this video and on the website, you refer to set screws as hex nuts. Not even close. I don't think that's one of those cute Canadian things. That said, the Revolver looks great, like all of the Sparrows stuff. Even though I have the windowed practice lock and the Reload kit, I think this is going on my next Sparrows order.
It is a hex screw, it is a screw with a hex key inset, so he was actually close. but it is known as a setscrew in the lockpicking world which I know y'all are getting at. Its a Hex screw which is its style and its function is a setscrew. "Cute Canadian Things" is a little condescending, but I think you know that since your entire statement was pretty condescending
@@jenniferwood4916 - Set screws or grub screws. Not hex nuts. I misspeak. The older I get, the more it happens. The mono-audio is killing me on the headphones :(

It's good for portability, I can take it to work with me and have 4 locks to pick in my off time without digging through my case, nice.

I bought one from the UKLP and a reload kit. They are quality, well-made products.
Awesome Training lock by the looks, looking forward to getting my hands on one.
What an amazing practice tool this is. Sparrows is the best.

very well done Sparrows!👍☺
Very cool concept !
Wish you had a link to it in the description.
What pick set would be recommended to work with this?
REVOLVER Link Added. The Tuxedo set would be up to the task. Here is a link for that www.sparrowslockpicks.com/product_p/tux1.htm
Anyone knows why the tracking numbers and mail adresses of sparrows do not work??
I was wondering if there are any coupon codes I could use on your website

I'm pretty sure they fixed it because I got mine yesterday and I don't have that problem
@@fancy_bread5959 alot of the time it depends how exotic the pins are in the bottom bible. Im curious how did they fix it?
@@notaverygoodusername idk probably made the gap smaller or something I'm pretty new to lock picking so idk much
@@notaverygoodusername nvm they didn't fix it I had this problem today not sure why it didn't happen earlier tho
I saw one guy online file a chamfer on the core so the pins can slide out more easily instead of getting stuck after falling in.
Very cool
I like it a lot
Every time I try and populate the 6th spot it freezes up my core. Even if I use standard pins

mine didn't come with the small gold key. What gives?

I wish i could get that
Hex socket set screw, not hex nut.
How do you open a door that the latch dos not work
WANT.
Chlorate its worth it!
Allen screws. Not hex nut.
Where can I buy more springs for the reload/revolver?
Jerome i suspect that the schlage keyway means schlage pins n springs. Any standard pinning kit springs should work.
I bought mine the same place i got the revolver
