Hello, I've seen a lot of comments on here asking us to change the title of this video so I thought i'd address it. We chose the World Record story as the title as we felt that that story had the widest appeal to the general public and therefore more people would see Craig's important message about the impact of PTSD. I've spoken with Craig, he's completely happy with the title and the content of the video. He's also been touched by the support he has received in this comment section.
We're going to be filming an update video with Craig in the coming months so watch this space. If you want to support Craig you can donate to his Survivor School here: www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/maverick-survival-school

This man and scores just like him sign up truly believing they are protecting and serving their countrymen. They are willing to kill and tote the trauma that comes with it... for you and me. I appreciate this man and the millions around the world like him. Only because he has sacrificed so goddamn much. I don't have to agree with him on the how and why, I just know they do it for their country, and it's one hell of a job our countries ask of them. You guys should learn to get past your fucking ideologies and learn to see people for who they are. I think you'll find the world isn't such a terrible place. This man deserves much better than what he got. The least we can do is not condemn him for doing what he was led to believe was his civic duty.

People like him need professional support and medical help once they are out of the service, a medal means nothing. They deserve free 24/7 professional support and help, that's the least of what they deserve. I'm glad this guy made it out alive, he's lucky to have a great wife, not everyone has that. I understand what he means about the dog saving his life. I had a period in my life that I was suicidal. I lived with my mum and dad at the time. I woke up one day and felt i couldn't take it anymore. I waited for my mum and dad to leave and when they did I decided I'd go and end it. At the time we had a Rottweiler, the one in the picture, and she was really obedient dog you'd tell her to do something and she would do straight away. And on this day as I was going to leave she sat in front of the front door and would not move. I shouted at her and tried to pull her away but she still wouldn't move. I looked at her and realised she knew there was something wrong with me. I realised at that point that while my mum and dad and sisters and their families would understand my dog never would do. I feel she knew somehow what I was going to do and she wanted to help me. She literally saved my life that day. I just hugged her and cried for about an hour and then I felt a little bit better. If anyone is having any trouble with mental health issues, please talk to someone. You won't be laughed at or mocked or looked at in disgust you will be helped I promise you. No issues are ver too trivial or minor.

I have a similar attempt story to Craig’s- all my pets followed me to where I was going to do it. 4 dogs, 2 cats and a horse just stared at me and I couldn’t bare the thought of them being scared by the sound of the shot.
So I hurried back to the house to put the gun away before my boyfriend got back home - I had timed it so that it wouldn’t take long to find me.
That was 20 yrs ago and I’ve struggled everyday and attempted a few times since then but I’m glad it didn’t end like that then.
The times when Ive got back to that point again, Ive thought about every detail of the reality of the aftermath. What it will do to everyone who has to deal with what I’ve done, what happens to my pets is one that really gets me as I live alone now. That snaps me out of it.
