He worked with my cousin and an incredible place in Derby called Jericho House. Two family members got clean at that place. They do incredible work at that place.
I agree. The reason is, and this is why everyone can't help but just sit there in awe, because he is just speaking from a place of truth. When he does this, it speaks to the truth in everyone. So now it feels like he is shining a spotlight in your face and you can't hide behind the image you hold of yourself. waleed ali did a really good job responding to the actual messages in russell's words. He was able to understand what he said and separate it from the sensationalism of his expression. it caught him off guard. impressive.

If you don't understand why giving him that, was an insult, then that's why you don't understand him. Although, it is hard to tell, his true intent. When I made (and still make) these kind of creative remarks people think of me as being rude... the fact that he says these things in a humorous manner is, what makes it socially accepted... He is very smart and thinks in images when using language.
@OTAY OTAY probably means Brand is hyper specific. He really paints a picture of his absurd claims in such a way that his audience can see it as well as he does despite most of us being unable to understand half of the words he say.
@OTAY OTAY we all do. If you're interested you could read some of the works on semiotics by Charles Sanders Peirce and Ferdinand de Saussure who are considered 'the founders' of semiotics. Perhaps reading just Peirce will suffice.
How did he learn to speak ther way he does? Has he read and endless amount of books? I mean..I'm fascinated by every element of Russel Brand, but a lot of the times he says things I can't comprehend and words I've never heard before.
This is exactly what I was wondering as well. It's not only that he has an amazing vocabulary, he uses it in an incredibly witty, powerful and magnetic way, he is an absolute conversational and improvisational master.
+Sukalp Mishra a million people have English as first language and are from England but probably not 5% can talk the way this guy can! His grip on the language and vocabulary is much beyond the average
Russell Brand exhudes such extraordinary confidence and free spirit (sometimes too much and he tends to forget he's in a news talk show), witty banter, quick-witted, spontaneous, a towering/commanding/overbearing figure (depends on how you look at it), articulate, charismatic, and such a natural. Wowww.. and Fifi Box is freakin gorgeous.
What's so impressive is how quickly he can process and articulate without pauses; no, 'uhmms' or 'ya knows' or 'wells' ... only coherent, precise, descriptive dialogue, at bullet speed. It's insane. He has more going on in his brain in 5 minutes than I do all fuckin day. And as if that isn't enough, apparently he has the sexual appetite and energy of a satyromaniac. Oh, and Ms. Perry has implied he's packin'. Talk about having it all ...
I believe his bigger points are thought out ahead of time. Much like a comedian that has a long routine. He does have quick wit and does quite a lot of improv.
The man is just pure un adult rated fun. He will not apologize or worry about nonsense. He says what is needed to be said and we cant help but love him for it. What a man!
Thanks. This one passed over my head. I was thinking towards the end of the interview that maybe he was being rude. Usually when he seems rude it's because he's responding to the typical charade with a middle finger.
Find it interesting how a lot of presenters (and audience members) from many talk shows worldwide seem to laugh at Russell Brand at moments where he's obviously not intending to be funny. I feel in his interviews he raises serious political/social arguments and adds jokes to his conversation to not let it "get too deep" and to keep people listening and enjoying listening (and he can be extremely funny). From what I understand, however, his overall goal is to send a positive message to the world and ask for people to help change society for the better. I hope one day people can start taking him more seriously and will realise that what he's says may seem strange to be spoken on a talkshow, but is really raising the questions that we should be raising more. Just because his main profession is a comedian, doesn't mean all he says is intended to be funny and laughed at. WHY is it so dam hard to get people to listen, be affected by, and act on what's TRULY IMPORTANT. Just because its a talk show with comedy doesn't mean we should hold aside the important stuff because we want to keep thing funny.
Good to see a show that knows who they are interviewing and aren't patronizing him or expecting Brand to act "normally". You have to love his passion and energy.

DaSnarky Remarky That’s exactly what I was thinking! My dumb ass head can’t even keep up with how fast and eloquently he speaks.
It's all been scripted in his head before he gets there. It's his delivery that's on point
@@wadellz I doubt it honestly. The guy is an incredible improvisation artist. I believe that on his audition for the movie Arthur, he had one of the most spectacular improv auditions of all time, according to the director - I recall Helen Mirren talking about that, you can find it on CZcams.
Russell Brand is a genius. He's got the answers loaded up before they're even done asking their questions. He's just on another level.
He's done a huge amount for the substance misuse sector and become an absolute advocate for people suffering substance use disorders. Several charities have benefitted from him and in turn hundreds of suffering and recovering addicts. I've been to his cafe for meetings in the past. He talks so much sense these days about criminal justice reform for drug users. He's definitely worth paying attention too these days.
He worked with my cousin and an incredible place in Derby called Jericho House. Two family members got clean at that place. They do incredible work at that place.
Love your drugs hey Dave druggo?
This guy was addicted n now he is addictive... I can keep watching n listening to him over n over again... :)
I agree. The reason is, and this is why everyone can't help but just sit there in awe, because he is just speaking from a place of truth. When he does this, it speaks to the truth in everyone. So now it feels like he is shining a spotlight in your face and you can't hide behind the image you hold of yourself. He takes you to a place that is more real than where you are currently, it acts like a magnet that you can't help but be drawn to.
I like they introduce Lara, than proceed to keep talking to Russell 😂

I now see why Russell is the way he is. And I love him more.
Sycophant
waleed ali did a really good job responding to the actual messages in russell's words. He was able to understand what he said and separate it from the sensationalism of his expression. it caught him off guard. impressive.

Not only that, Russell said that at his next trial he would like Waleed to represent him. High compliment!
Gotta say I don't watch TV but this was brilliant. Russel Brand is so loud, funny and intelligent. Russel Brand for PM
+Aussibob1 he's not very intelligent. everything he says sounds like things i was saying when i was a confused 15 y/o.
+lostalex77 you are still confused
Dat Huy Richard Le true, but less so.
Most news shows, try to make a mockery of him, one way or the other. Russ picks up on me it, and throws it back in their face, everytime. If you don't understand why giving him that, was an insult, then that's why you don't understand him. Although, it is hard to tell, his true intent. He's certainly clever enough, to put on an array of disguises. But, he even speaks of that, and admits that he's...human...and has an ego. Few to no celebs do that. Even people who aren't famous, can't.
I'm afraid for that to work he would have to sedate one half of his personality and mature the other half while standing with his full weight on his comedic compulsion.
Super quick and intelligent.
Him and Ricky Gervais both are rare breeds.
The REAL crime is that some people are trying to quell the improvisatory and comedic genius of this great man.
Believe Russell totally !!!
I wonder if those women on the panel would they say wow that's shocking and lets hope the due process that must take place NOT in the court of public opinion, but by police and solicitors finds who will the correct verdict. I DON'T hear him getting with any presumption of innocence. JUST a piling on of even more women. Lots of sex jokes taken out of context and its way more than they had on an actor in the U.S. who got 15 years for rape. England's worse with it historical sex crimes unit!
i love Russel, i applaud people that are real to themselves, that can swim off stream without care or guilt and still do their thing.
He is not what he seems. See through his forced humor!

Can't your realise it's an act? It's a well rehearsed persona. He's a standup comedian after all.
The Waleed guy seemed to be the only one able to keep up.
His internal conflict where his views differ from Russell's meant that he refused to let himself laugh even though he was clearly enjoying it and knew that Russell's an unstoppable force.

I wouldn't trust a human being who genuinely disliked Russell. Such people do exist. And I'm not keen on being kin to such people.
I'll stick with those of us who get Russell and appreciate a human being like him even exists. It makes life incrementally more worth living just knowing he exists in it.
Jesus! We'll said!

Yeah well said. By far the most important personality trait a person can embody, for me personally to appreciate or respect them, is authenticity. I can't think of anyone in the public eye more authentic than Russell.

What an amazing way to say "fuck your 'beauty shallow product'" and at the same time "I'll make you laugh about it so we´ll still be friends"
Gotta love this man.
He couldn't call anyone shallow with the amount of effort he puts into his hair and clothes.
I don't think it's a fuck you at all. Rather him just having a laugh.
It is also very good for Lara Bingle. Great advertising him doing that with the product.
Was just passing by to this this amazing video again... and yeah, having a new perspective now about it, I guess I can take it in a more chilled kinda way, let's have fun with it sort of, after all Russel is all about Love and Kindness all around our communities.

The interviewers were actually being open to what he had to say . Great on them !

Wahlid is literally the only guy I've seen that Russell has had some mutual respect for his intellect
Yes Wahlid seems to be the only really intelligent guy there, and one that can keep up with Russel Brand
Sanjoob no that's rasjneesh
he is more intelligent so sees past it but russell can still make him like him by appealing to his intellectual vanity
Its one year later now but look at the people like Peterson or Harris he talked to on this podcast. There are many many men Russel respects probably way more then Wahlid.
Watch Russle and Jordan Peterson, you will have a treat..
You can't argue with this mans brilliance.

He's an illuminati hoax man, yuppp
+Kevin Charlson not "illuminati", Russell is a member of the Fabian Society, look them up. they're Masons. intent on the gain of power through knowlege, they're a pretty interesting bunch, not "dangerous" as far as i can tell, but secretive all the same. they find the hidden powers of the brain through deep meditation and psychedelic drugs
+Kevin Charlson sorry, they don't make tinfoil hats in my size.
+Mikail Elchanovanich Not dangerous lol, look where they took Britain in the 70s with stupid socialist/communist leaders. We'll never fully recover from that. I doubt people like Jeramy Corbyn or Jamima Kahn are doing any serious tripping to explore consiousness, sorry but they are most of whats wrong with this world, people pretending to be something they're clearly not. I mean can you imagine Milliband, Brown or Blair tripping out their nuts? Im pretty sure we would have had a lot more interesting speachs lol
BigAlFiGala depends what order you're in, and just like all societies, there's many facets, i wouldn't be surprised if the different divisions of the Fabians focused on different things. just because they're a very tight-nit group doesn't necessarily mean they're all the same

Took me a minute to realise it was an insult
SO BRILLIANT IM DEAD
@OTAY OTAY we all do. If you're interested you could read some of the works on semiotics by Charles Sanders Peirce and Ferdinand de Saussure who are considered 'the founders' of semiotics. Perhaps reading just Peirce will suffice.
Jeez, he’s like a juggernaut when he gets going! No stopping him in full swing...
RB cracks me up. Back then and now. His wit and intelligence ❤
How did he learn to speak ther way he does? Has he read and endless amount of books? I mean..I'm fascinated by every element of Russel Brand, but a lot of the times he says things I can't comprehend and words I've never heard before.
+Aadibass i know what you mean, we need to open an X file on this man
This is exactly what I was wondering as well.
It's not only that he has an amazing vocabulary, he uses it in an incredibly witty, powerful and magnetic way, he is an absolute conversational and improvisational master.
his first language.....he is from England...
+Sukalp Mishra a million people have English as first language and are from England but probably not 5% can talk the way this guy can!
His grip on the language and vocabulary is much beyond the average
TheGreyj i agree
I saw this like 20 times already. Is just amazing what Russell can do.
his interviews from 2005/6 are even better
Russell Brand exhudes such extraordinary confidence and free spirit (sometimes too much and he tends to forget he's in a news talk show), witty banter, quick-witted, spontaneous, a towering/commanding/overbearing figure (depends on how you look at it), articulate, charismatic, and such a natural. Wowww.. and Fifi Box is freakin gorgeous.
The world is full of boredom and banality. It's because people serve themselves. This man doesn't.😅😅😅
It's called coke...
