    Thank you for showing the difference between being charming and being creepy! A lot of men on Russell Brand videos claim that he’s successful with flirting because of his money it looks (ultimately calling women shallow) but that isn’t really true. Obviously he’s good looking which helps, but he also has a very intuitive way of flirting VERY boldly and sexually but not crossing the line. He pulls back and knows the limits. Unfortunately some men haven’t grasped this fine balance; I think these kind of videos can help those men! Women WANT to feel desired, but not in a way where we feel like an object or cornered.

    Instead of breaking down this interview and Russell's body language, watch a video Russell put our himself entitled "How I Became Confident ". My assumption is that you're only interested in picking up "chicks" (who even uses that term anymore?), or hooking up, scores, etc.
    In Russell's own words, "People need to be able to connect with something that is essential and beautiful and valuable and true." YOUR takeaway is seeing it as defensive, that he doesn't give a fuck, he owns the room, the people, etc. Women respond so well to him because he's honest and open and genuine. Of course his body language is relaxed, because he's not TRYING to get in the ladys' pants. He doesn't have to try. He keeps improving himself. Body AND mind. Yoga, what eats, connecting with other people, male and female, of all ages, conversant on a myriad of subjects. THAT'S what's interesting, and0 that's a big part of what draws them in too. Get off your phone, get off the sleek leather, I-am-a-coiled bachelor sofa and go out and talk to some women. Be yourself, but be your better self...or try as hard as you can. Let your guard down. Be funny. Be self-deprecating. And erase two words from your vocab right now: "Alpha" and "Game".
    I sincerely hope you find something bettter than what you think you want.

    This guy Russell is a master body language reader, he's definitely well versed in that subject, I read a book on body language from the early 90s that said when a woman is attracted to a man she would play with objects in her hand suggesting something, that's why Russel said "what does that mean right there what's the subcontext of that" that woman literally left her seat wet her eyes were lusting heavy.

    I feel like the majority of the sub context was him defending his qualifications to write this book, and they kept trying to subtly knock him down and box him in as a "quirky and strange actor" who can't write serious material. I think that the flirting was actually natural and Russel didn't care to "seduce" anyone he wanted to sell his book and the sexual tension is a happenstance of confidence and intelligence. So get your life in order and the prizes will follow.

How many of us try to push to soon here, me included. • @joanmanning198
      @joanmanning198 Před 2 lety +1

      Mystic Flyer, I think it's important to determine whether the hair touching is grooming or a nervous response to being uncomfortable. Many people will fidget when they are ill at ease. In this instance, the host looked extremely uncomfortable and tried to calm herself by taking a sip of water, and then moving away from him. I am amazed by the number of people commenting here who missed the look of extreme discomfort on her face. She should have done her homework so she would have been prepared for his behavior as he is know for being overtly sexual. Had she known, she might have been able to respond better. I think she would have approached him differently.

    The woman ‘barely being able to talk’ is not (/just) a sign of ‘major attraction’.
    Brand is in total control, yes. Naturally leading (which is not aggressively wanting to dominate, the opposite) in general is attractive to most women, yes.
    But the giggling and smiling and being flustered, trouble regaining oneself, is also very typical for women whose personal space has been invaded. Culturally it is difficult for women to know their boundaries, hold them, communicate them, and claim their own space.
    Women are raised to be ‘good girls’. Most adult women still ARE those ‘good girls’. Women are predisposed, combined with empathy and sympathy, to respond in a manner that doesn’t dismiss the other (guy) while still trying to make it stop. Dismissing could turn into either hard rejection, (verbal and / or passive) aggression or even violence after all, especially in a ‘flirting’ situation. Compare it with a guy physically tickling. The involuntary bodily response is laughing but also squirming and pulling away from it, which a lot of guys take as ‘It’s working’ so they continue, while the girl at the same time is yelling ‘No, stop!’ Guy: ‘But you’re laughing’.
    Notice how the woman in the orange doesn’t respond in the same way as the woman in blue. The woman in orange finds Brand charming, he doesn’t try to get her on her back, because he FEELS that won’t work. She communicates that she has her own space, for example by making a joke herself or asking him to give a 30sec preview. Brand doesn’t try with her because there it’s not gonna work in the same way. The woman in orange gets called being ‘bitchy towards him’ in the beginning. Not being a ‘good girl’ = ‘bitchy’. It’s misogynistic.

    I don't know why this came up on my feed, but I very much agree with this guy's analysis, also as a two times pageant winner, which has no real significance but that i've had experience of being chatted up by quite a few men - I have always been for Russell's way of seduction, I find him utterly enchanting - it's the mix of confidence without arrogance that really makes us, as women, really go crazy, this is something men from Essex, (where Russell is from) have a smooth way of bringing into effect, it's a cheeky, non-threatening way of being that mixes Alpha male, take-charge with a more lighter, sensitive touch, it's just magic.

    Well, first of all he's a comedian and celebrity. He's also naturally sarcastic. What happens often times when you use sarcasm is the whole conversation can become sarcastic, and sometimes very negative, as everyone tries to show they can be more sarcastic or meaner than the other. If you don't reel it back with humor and lightheartedness then it can get ugly. Russell is calibrated enough to know that these anchors were heading in a confrontational and unfunny direction so he led the conversation back with his jokes, which basically were sexual in nature because that's his style of edgy comedy. The girl wasn't blushing because she was head over heals for him, rather I'm pretty sure she was nervous that his sexual comments were pushing the limits of the TV standards for their show.

He knows he's attractive (so that gives him tremendous leverage), plus he's charismatic, well spoken, well dressed, probably smells like a million dollars and has an intentional intensity that kinda spell binds when he's making direct eye contact. Russell Brand is like the king of the naturals. Everything is just free flowing stream of consciousness with him. No hesitation, no regrets. At that level women just can't help themselves. They're drawn into his orbit by his sexual gravitational force.

      His androgynous demeanor works well for him and shatters the idea that being feminine, emotional, and vulnerable dry up women's pussy.. However, if an average dude did what he did, it would not go nearly as well and would much more likely be considered an inconsiderate creep for putting his shoes on the table and flirting in the manner he flirted. You have to optimize your characteristics. If you're more quiet and introverted, you can only get so far trying to be like Russel, and it will come off as an act, and it will likely feel unnatural and awkward for the quiet introvert. Exhibiting a more laid back Johnny Depp/Keanu Reeves type of demeanor will likely be received better.

      absolutely; there are many great observations made in this video, but they only work for 10-15% of men, if we are being honest
