I LOVE Zach Wilson as a prospect. I really do. I just think Justin Fields is better. I've seen Fields make every single one of these plays you just showed. I've also seen Fields opperate in a muddy pocket and make throws 30-40 yards down field from the pocket with a guy hitting him in his chest after doing a full read. Haven't seen that from Zach Wilson. Not saying he can't do it but I haven't seen it. But again I really like Zach Wilson as a prospect.

Can’t compare sitting in a muddy pocket to throw 30-40 yards at Ohio state. Haskins cashed in doing the same. Wilson has a different arm then anyone in the draft. But yet Fields is definitely more athletic. Depends what you value.

The funniest thing read is when people bring up competition look at the top 10 in the Nfl now how many played in big name school collage means nothing its how ur skills translate to the nfl
it's not the competition it's the level of competition compared to his team. He played with a similar talent advantage that Mac Jones had at Alabama this year. His receivers were overmatching inferior competition. He was hardly ever pressured. It's a legitimate question about him. I think he's a great prospect but it's worth noting. Doesn't mean he wont make it. We just have to see.

Watch the film. I've seen every game he's played in during his college career, and there were many games throughout his college career where he was chased around and hit. Check out the Tennessee and USC games. He's no more fragile than any other QB. His shoulder issues were from high school, when he didn't have adequate medical care and PT resources. He's fine now.

Wilson s creative play style is just as good as the other NFL QBs in league but the true skill in winning NFL QBs is the ability to hang in the pocket of patience and be able to take the hits off the passes that breaks the game open to win. All these creative skills dont mean squat and no matter of the need for RPO QBs, it is the pocket passing of getting BIG NEEDED PLAYS and still remain in the game after the hits( Tom Brady). If anything Wilson reminds me of Drew Lock and Lock has issues of rushing his passes in the pocket and runs away to scramble to get his plays. i had many haters on my take in Wilson but the issue of concern with Wilson is his ability to take hits and be injury free in Pro Game as Wilson s College games showed many plays where he took off and created his big plays but in NFL, those plays dont come too often in NFL and QB needs to be also a pocket passer with RPO Skills( Justin Herbert) to play in NFL.
Very good take....njury and being able to take pro level hits over and over again( 17 games) is my concern with him his frame is on the smallish side and that is with pads on.
@@bondson0094 Lol, I can relate. Had many Haters of Trolls when I mentioned Wilson s body frame, his great Offensive line , and Johnny Manziel College Skills. One troll, questioned my take of size and said I dont know squat as I replied back my bad, I meant the way he has all that gear on, including his headband( which is smart of absorbing hits of area). We have yet to see Wilson and most other prospects have the plays as in NFL of getting plays after being hit of most devastating form of taking oncoming NFL QB Hits of Thor men types...

Ultimately, the New York Jets were pursuing Deshaun, but after his legal troubles they settled for the draft to get their QB. If they miss with Zach, the Jets will clean house again and wait for Arch Manning
This is si dumb they should wait to draft a manning or trade for a player with a million off the field issues a player who quit on the team that drafted him after 4 years but they shouldn't just draft a high end player and that's settling lol
Ultimately deshaun watson hasn't won a playoff game and may never win any trophies in the nfl the best way to build a winner Is to always draft and develop your own stars instead of chasing others Deshaun might not even be in the league 5 years from now because of off field issues he wouldn't be the first player to ruin a promising career personal issues are important to evaluate not just talent

Like did he ever play against a top 10 defense in college? If so, how'd he do?
Watch his game against Coatsal Carolina. That was the only game anyone on his schedule was able to provide a consistent rush. #94 for coastal is an NFL player btw. He was balling that game lol

@@AlphaDwg If you watch the whole game, he was actually pretty accurate. His receivers did drop a lot of passes. A catch or two made would have changed the outcome of that game.

Most of these clips showed Wilson missing his first read then dancing around in the pocket because he’s too short to stand in there and go through his progressions. He’s just like another hyped up, yt QB that people who look like him love

He played injured in 2019. Also for coastal, BYU had less than a week to prepare. Coastal had the advantage because they didn't travel across the country on such short notice.

Johnny Manziel is the key here. Manziel was far off better play making plays then Wilson. As soon as Manziel went to NFL, we all noticed he did not want to be hit on consistent basis and ran away thinking NFL is like College but not. With Jets fans having no choice but to accept Wilson and hype his potential due to team at number 2 spot but like most drafts there is going to be a Hype pick over a sure keeper at top draft picks. Look at the Goff at 1, then Wentz at 2 as the real winner was at the 3rd pick in Joey Bosa. To me, Jets fans should avoid the hype and get more draft picks to trade to another team to take on this Drama..
That's not why Johnny failed. He failed SOLELY based off his alcoholism. If anything he actually looked great at times during his first 2 years. He just couldn't stay sober long enough. Wilson does NOT have to worry about that considering he's a Mormon.
