  • Yoga is a step by step process. It is a science of living so whatever you do it is going to give you results. Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra defines 8 steps which act as guidelines on how to live a meaningful and purposeful life. Watch Hansaji as she explains this step by step process simply, explains the importance of each step and helps you to follow them practically.

    How can someone just simply explain yana/niyama .....in such beautiful manner!
    Amazing... Incredible.. Remarkable!

  • @prachi_arora
    @prachi_arora Před 11 měsíci +6

    1. Yaama (external world)
    2. Niyam (deal with yourself)
    3. Asaan (control your body)
    4. Pranayam ( breath)
    5. Pratyahar (go inward)
    6. dharna
    7. dhyan
    8. smaadhi

      @prachi: pranayama word can be split into prana and Yama. Yama is also the first fold of the path of yoga. Yama also translate to self-restraint( regulations ). So, if you connect Yama with prana. It is about regulating the organic forces( life-forces) within the body done via a tool(aka breath). The connection between prana and breath is like current and wire. So, breath and prana are inter related like wire and current.

    Please could you add subtitles to the Hindi parts. Very disappointing to change from English to Hindi as can only get half of the information.
    P.S. I love your video's and all the information that you share.

      The more you listen to the language... you’ve realize she is saying it in English not the accent we are so common mis-spoken and used to listen it that way. I been at this for a long time and it hurts the way non- eastern people butcher all languages. Language is not easy if is not part of ones culture. I love listening to ama- and Hindi.

    People only follow asana keeping aside all other previous steps. That's why they don't get the real fruits of doing asana. Thanks for the right analysis
