The BEST Nissan Z Ever is EXPENSIVE! // 2024 Nissan Z NISMO Review

- The 2024 Nissan Z NISMO is unquestionably the BEST Nissan Z of all time, but that goodness comes at a cost, both monetary and visceral. The new Nissan Z NISMO is the evolution of the Nissan Z we all wanted, a satisfying sports car that feels much more like the Toyota Supra than the regular Nissan Z. The NISMO looks better, sounds better, handles better, and is overall much more satisfying to drive, which is saying something because the weather was absolutely awful during the week we had the Nissan Z in the driveway. Unfortunately, the Nissan Z NISMO carries a price closer to $70k than it probably should be, and that puts it into direct competition with a LOT of very exciting cars. You're in BMW M2 range, Ford Mustang Darkhorse, or something like a used Corvette -- not to mention you're ten grand more expensive than the Toyota Supra which has a nicer interior and a few more options. Because of this, you have to really want a Nissan Z NISMO to plunk down the money, and you have to be willing to give up some creature comforts in the process. Will the 2024 Nissan Z NISMO satisfy the Nissan Z faithful? Absolutely. People who yearn for a Nissan Z that lives up to its potential will probably love the NISMO, but does the price leave something to be desired? Yeah, when it's this expensive, it's hard to ignore te obvious. Also... there's the 9 speed automatic. Yes, the Nissan Z NISMO comes only with the automatic transmission, but it's a shockingly good example of the automatic that responds to your inputs as fast as you could want while being competent when left to its own devices. In fairness, I've said before that I'd take the Toyota Supra with the automatic for ease of use as a daily; I'd have to say the same thing about the Nissan Z NISMO (not that you have a choice), but it's so good that I don't think you're missing anything. What do YOU think of the 2024 Nissan Z NISMO? Worthy Nissan Z trim or too expensive? Let us know in the comments!

Today i just purchased the Z Performance Trim level. I love it, it has this character that is such a blast to drive. I traded in a Nissan Titan for it and I dont regret it.
Nice! Hope you enjoy it!
Great video and insight. Awesome work. Look forward to watching more of your work.
Thanks so much! Glad you liked it!
Great review spot on pluses and minuses. My head was going up and down when you said for the price getting a used C7….YES!
Thanks! And Corvette is always the answer 😂
When you buy this kind of car (in my opinion and experience at least), you do enjoy the performances of course... but that lasts only for a bit. After a while you use is as a driver's car, enjoy the possibility of a bit of fun, but that's it. So... I'd go for the regular one, especially because of the price difference. The only thing to consider besides this... resale value. I only see the Nismo's advantage on that!
I would tend to agree, which is why the lack of creature comforts works against the NISMO a bit. If a major Nissan Z fan has the disposable income to buy this as a fun car, great! But I think most people using this as their only car would be more satisfied with something else.
I get compliments and comments on my car all the time, every single time I leave the house pretty much, and you know what question I get asked? Every single time?
Them: "Bro, you got a 6 speed manual in that thing???"
Me: "Yes."
Them: "HOLY SHIT! SICK!!!!"
The Nismo trim with it's extra 20hp? Nobody gives an F about that. It's all about the stick, and we all know it.
That's an interesting point! The idea that just having a stick these days becomes an admirable thing itself. You are right though: the FIRST thing people ask about my C5 Corvette... "Is it a stick?!" Even though in the C5 gen the manual was still fairly common, but people love to hear that a 22 year old sports car has a stick in it. Sadly, sales dictate decisions, which means we'll see fewer and fewer manuals over time.
If they got the suspension set up like the previous 370z Nismo( which I owned),, then it's going to be a good car.
Never got to drive drive that one, but I like this one a lot
Sure I get it. It's all about what you like and I love that car. I love the way it looks
Love the way it drives. Some people say the interior is dated I think it's cool so no need to change everything. Are there other great cars out there for the money? Of course. We don't all have to agree on everything do we. So give me a break thank you.
Ok
could you please review a Hyundai Elantra N?? Please?
Definitely trying to get behind the wheel of one of those. 👍🏻
The best anything is expensive.....
True, but products don't exist in a vacuum when there are alternatives
