▶ News Wrap May '22 | Crossrail opening, HS2 progress and Tideway tunnelling milestone

This month's NCE News Wrap features the announcement that the central section of Crossrail’s Elizabeth line will open to the public on 24 May, along with the end of the Bank blockade and the re-opening of the Northern line.
There’s also an update on HS2 progress with NCE senior reporter Catherine Kennedy heading to the project's first diesel-free construction site - the Canterbury Road Vent Shaft site in South Kilburn, London.
Catherine also makes a trip to Tideway’s Greenwich Pumping station site in East London to find out more about the work there. The final connection tunnel into the sewer completed its 4.6km journey between Greenwich and Bermondsey at the start of April, just before the rest of tunnelling completed.
