Which of these snacks would YOU want to bring back?
Koogle and maybe a sugar free version of Quisp! They were my favorites from this set!
Something you didn't mention but I liked are Ice-cubes. They were little thick chocolate chunks that tasted a little bit cool and like hazelnut and were wrapped in blue and silver tinfoil.
@user-ms1pg2ok4i you can get ice cubes at Cracker Barrel.
Jello 123
@@user-ms1pg2ok4iour BP sells those!
Anyone remember "Beechnut Fruit Stripe" gum? How about "Chunky" chocolate bars?
The gum that lost all its flavor in 10 seconds - yup! I remember hiding to eat it because I'd get in trouble for popping one stick after another, trying to keep the flavor lol. Chunky chocolate bars were so good - with raisins and nuts. Closest thing I've found since childhood is the Cadbury Fruit and Nut bar, but it's been over a decade since I've seen them.
Those are absolutely two of my favorites! What was it about the Chunky bar? Like real chocolate!
Chunky was at the $1store
Afew years ago
@@carole9554 I haven't seen them in years. They were 10 cents when I was a kid
Yes! I loved those!
i remember "freshen up" the gum that goes squirt".
Spearmint, the original, was the best. They did expand into peppermint, cinnamon, and even fruit.
or as we said " the gum that goes gooshy in your mouth"
We had a special name for that gum!
@@LydiaStarzcum on. Keep it clean.
@@LydiaStarzWe did too! Not sure we understood exactly the meaning.
Who remembers when Hostess Fruit Pies actually had FRUIT.
I remember susie qs being larger
I remember chocolate pies. I loved Cherry and berry pies, too.
@@patriciaaturner289
And the chocolate tasted like chocolate.😊
I loved them. And they were much bigger than the ones sold today.
Cherry and peach were the best…apple was solid too.
I remember when Ding Dongs were wrapped in the world’s thinnest wrapping of foil.
Yep! There’s a thing you could do since ho ho’s we’re wrapped in foil, eat all the cream filling out then, re-shape the cakes and, re-wrap them back up and, set them back in the box and, pout that box on top of the refrigerator!
Now they’re the size of a quarter
Plus common now it's not made with sugar but high fructose corn syrup which changes it all.
@@WVgirl1959no wonder they so different 🫤
I thought they still are! 😂
Who remembers the cigarette chalk candy and the cigarette gum that smoked when you blew into it!!
Ice cream shops and Novelty stores. But I know what you mean what about those wax things that had the pure sugar liquid in them? We used to use the wax for our braces LOL
@@Dani-ICU-RN I remember those!
Can still get them!
I still buy that, not the gum just the candy ones.
@@orange222... I haven’t seen them since the 80’s
I just want the 70’s back😢😢😢
You and me both. I would gladly go back and stay, even knowing what I know now.
Me too!
Yeah, just with better clothes 😄
Me too I need a tab
Absolutely 😢
Who remembers Certs with Retsyn? I still have a roll of them
Loved the cherry
"Two two, two mints in one!" As they tapped two ends of rolls in the ad 🤭
My Mom Always Had A Pack Of Them In Her Purse! Thanks For A Great Memory! ❤👍
@@bevm.4832but does she still have them? !!! Lol
I wish they still made them. Fruit flavor was my favorite
Fudgesicles used to be good and chocolatey. Over the years, they were watered down more and more to the point they were basically just brown ice on a stick.
Recently had the flu and wanted fudgesicles, the ONLY ones my husband could find was "zero sugar"" which means no corn syrup, but a sugar substitute, like aspartame 🤮
# freeze chocolate pudding cup in freezer with a popsicle stick in it ;)
Agree, not at all as good now. Same with chocolate Pop-Tarts. Toasted warm, crispy edges and chocolate inside - they were delicious!. Now nothing like the original o the company must have made a recipe change as so many companies do and ruin the original product.
Chocolate pudding mix, beat in whipped cream, freeze = fudgesicles
OMG! WE HAD ONE last night! 'Chocolate popsicle'..is my teen called it..
It's funny how most of us ate these sugar-coma foods but very few people were overweight or had diabetes. Oh yeah, we played outside and ran around like idiots until dinnertime. 😂 Great blast from the past. And there was nothing better than a refrigerated Ding Dong.
The companies also used pure sugar instead of this unhealthy, cheap high fructose corn syrup.
In foil wrapper!
I agree that kids ran around and I loved to play in the mud and climb trees and things, but I think it might have something to do with the ingredients in these processed "foods". I make dessert for myself and my husband quite often and we are both a good weight.
And for those who lived in town, it was “be home by the time the street lights came on!” 😊
I can only speak for my family but we stayed thin due to being lot more active. Of course it was the time before cell phones, CZcams, Facebook, etc. Right now, I should be exercising instead of spending hours on CZcams! LOL
Ding Dongs do not taste as good now as they did when they were wrapped in foil. As with many things, they have lost their quality. They are dry and taste waxy Sad
I used to put my in the freezer in the summer time mmm so cool and refreshing but today’s Ding Dongs doesn’t taste like it used too garbage if you ask me
One of my fondest memories, I am in the backyard playing in the dirt by myself, my mom comes out with a ding dong and it was sooo good .then she came back out with another one. I will never forget.
It has to do with how they are made now since the company changed hands. All their products aren't as good now.
Same with Oreos. They are still around but have lost much of their original flavor.
Oreo Caksters taste closer to the original Oreo flavor, but of course you compromise texture.
The ding dong is also much smaller now.
Remember the Clove Gum and Bazooka Bubble gum ( hard as a rock and until you chewed the sugar out you couldn't blow bubbles)
Clove was a Great flavour usually marketed with the licorice gum, Teaberry Gum, n Beeman's bismuth flavoured gum that settled your stomach as Clove gum was great for tooth pain n bad breath, as while cloves STILL are. I keep a jar of them in the cupboard cuz if you have a toothache n put a whole clove on it, it WILL dull the pain!!! Also, Carnation Instant Breakfast powdered shake envelopes were AWESOME too, as they had the BEST chocolate malt n eggnog flavours!!! WISH they were still available n Boost Shakes used to have a Butter Pecan flavour that was AWESOME!!!!
Bazooka is still available. I get it at Dollar Tree all the time.
Dollar General was selling a box of 25 pieces of Bazooka here in Ohio Love it 😊
I remember buying clove cinnamon toothpicks at the local variety store and cream flips cakes that were so... Delishious. And where the h heck can I buy pepperage farm cakes in abox? They went bye bye?
The hardest gum was the ones that came in a pack of baseball cards.
Jiffy Pop on the stove
Fun
Yep. It blew up!
Remember Snackin Cake and Stir and Frost. 😢❤
Yes! Chocolate chip snackin cake!
Anyone remember a diet bar called Figurines? I ate them like candy bars. The vanilla was my favorite.
I loved Figurines! Chocolate mint was my favorite.
@@markcloer2274they were so good. I don't know why they quit making them.
Yes vanilla!
Yes and you can relive the magic of sweet and sandy cardboard in 2024! I was thrilled to find Power Crunch Protein Energy Bars in my local stores. I have vanilla and strawberry in my fridge right now.
My grandma loved figurine bars and I remember they were so good. 😁
13:08 who remembers Dana Plato?
Saw that! RIP
of course...... tragic story...... but what are you going to do - ya know..??
I do...😢
Me too 😢
Sad story. 🙏
Anyone ate tv dinners by Swanson? Or drank juice from small wax bottles? Or made instant milk shakes by shaking the mix in a plastic cup? Or drank Mt. Dew out of a bottle with a hill Billy on it? Or wore earth shoes? Or ate fruit roll ups? Or ate chocolate or banana moon pies? Or drank rc cola? Or drank Shasta soda? Or ate super sugar crisp cereal? Or ate count chocula cereal? Or drank tang orange juice? Or ate pixie straw sugar? Or ate Flintstone chewable? Or drank carnation dry powder milk?
Yes to all!!!😂
Except for earth shoes
You forgot crazy cow cereal on the list
I think your talking about hillbilly joose
Used to love Swanson TV dinners! Remember having to peel the foil back from the dessert part before putting them in the oven? 😊
For breakfast, I liked the Kellogg's miniature cereal boxes that were plastic wrapped in a large variety brick pack. Each little box made its own cereal bowl when you opened it along the pre-scored lines (like an open book). The wax paper liners were surprisingly leak resistant most of the time.
There was only the 2 good sugary ones in the six pack and my brother and I would fight over them.
@@k_DAN HAHA! My least favorite were the little boxes of Corn Pops.
To this day, I still give my adult children their own pack. They still negotiate and exchange.they are getting harder to find.
We Would Always Take These Camping! They Were So Convenient. Thanks For A Great Memory! ❤👍
@@bevm.4832 Thank you, too.
I LOVED eating Zingers, Chocolate Pinwheels and Chocolate Marshmallow Puffs while watching Saturday morning cartoons in the early 70’s. My brother and I would sneak downstairs early (walking on the edges of the stairs so they wouldn’t creak and wake mom up). We would also build forts out of blankets. Watched Scooby Doo, Josie and the Pussycats, Land of the Lost, Lidsville, H.R. Pufnstuf with Whitchie Poo and Freddy the Flute, Looney Tunes, etc. Wonderful time.
Chocolate Pinwheels! YUM! I loved those!
My brother and I would look forward to seeing the new cartoons that came out every fall.
Tom and Jerry with my stuffed animals and pop tarts 😎✌️
Yes Pin Wheels 🎉🎉
HR Puff n stuff
Remember Sugar Babies ??
Yes!
They still have them ! I find them at Dollar Tree all the time
I still have some in my teeth 😅
I was hooked on FruitStripe Gum in the 70s. Tasted INCREDIBLE! Couldn't keep a pack for more than a couple hours.🌈🦓
It was a very flavorful gum.
Yipe strips Beech-nuts got em!
The flavor only lasted 5 minutes, then you spit it out & eat the next piece
They just stopped making it in the last year or so
I love fruit stripe but the flavor left in about 5 mins!
I miss the Strawberry Quik and Quisp . I know they still make Quik but it tastes nothing like it used to .
It was always in that canister and we had to pry the little circle lid off with a knife 😂 your right, it doesn't taste the same.
Banquet used to have frozen bag meals. You boiled water on the stove and toss the bags in the water to heat them up. They had chicken a la king, Salisbury steaks, hot roast beef, hot turkey etc.have a plate ready with a hard roll ready and after boiling a few minutes you take the bag out of the water, cut the top off the bag without burning your fingers off and pour it over your bread and had a quick hot sandwich. Loved them
They cost only .99. Easy dinners.
They were called boil in a bags! And they were Great! $1 each!
Yes! Those were so good
Yes!chicken ala king
Yep we loved them. I still buy the creamed chipped beef. Stouffer's carries them
I miss jello 1-2-3! You make it and put in little glass cups and it would separate into 3 layers! I loved making it for our family when i was little.
Or the round strudel poptart thing. Loved putting them into the toaster and uncurling them to eat.
I totally forgot about the caramel marathon bar. We used to freeze and break them to eat. Along with Charleston chews
Ice cube chocolates
still around today !
Still made and sold. You can even buy them online.
2 for 25c when I was in 8th grade. We stopped in the pharmacy by the bus stop after school days. Even the pharmacy is gone now but you can order Ice Cubes online. I am afraid to. . . heh heh
@@mov1ngforward those memories and those days were the best....
There's a big plastic tub of 'em at the checkout lanes of my grocery. Tried a few a while ago. Seemed more waxy than I remember.
Jello 1-2-3 was the greatest invention ever !!
Where is my "whatchamacallit" candy bar and "now & later" fruit candy and still miss "alpha bits" cereal
They still make all three
I liked the Whatchamacallit before the caramel was added. I am not a fan of caramel ... oh well....
Alphabets
Whatchamacallit is at Walmart
Whatchamacallit is still around !!! Reminded me of a peanut butter flavored Nestles Crunch.😋
PLEASE bring back Jello pudding pops! They were so good!
Have you tried making them yourself?
There is a recipe on the back of the larger size Jello Pudding box.
Super chewy forever Marathon bars and Summit bars are missed.❤
You can still get the Marathon Bars.. They are called Cadbury Curly Wurly Chocolate Bar with Caramel. They are as good as you remember.
Marathon bars are super popular in the UK. Google or Amazon search marathon bars and the current title options will pop up
A lot of these old candies can be purchased online at Old Time Candy
I remember as a kid how PONG felt like a high tech video game. Haha!! 😂
It was!!!!
I played that in high school!
and then came Tank
@@k_DAN heck ya! Atari Tank Battle! another game I didn't have but my friends did 😀
Two Sticks And A Square Ball!
Loved It! ❤ 👍
The main problem now is the lack of companies that are interested in anything except big profit margins. Make them cheap, horrid tasting with chemicals that do more harm than good. So long as the profit is there they don't care.
One of the best things about the 70's was no one constantly told us this stuff would kill us. Life was so free.
How about penny candies 😮😮😮😊
I sure do! I remember when a quarter bought ya a small brown bag of penny candies
We loved penny candy. We would go to 2 neighborhood stores, and there were many choices. And, yes, a quarter gotcha a lot of candy!
Oh yes, all the penny candies from Angel's on my way home from school in the eighth grade. What a great place that was. What would it be in 2024? Dollar candy! How'd we end up upside down?
My father had a country store & service station that had a couple of shelves lined with Lance clear glass jars of penny candies with 1lb brown paper bags between them. Some of the candy actually had several little candies together for a penny. What a treat after school!
@@vernajarrell2338 Yes Verna, the little curb market near my home did the same. A line of penny candies with the little brown paper bags there to fill. I miss those days, don't you? 🙂
Ring Dings, Ding Dongs, cool whip, Fluffer-nutter, Yodols, Capt Krunch, Lucky Charms, pop tarts, Hostess, Drakes... what a time!
I loved Jello 1-2-3 💖 Bring it back !!!
Me Too!
I loved it too!
I loved jello 123. My mom always made it for dessert for all the kids at Thanksgiving Dinner
Probably had wonder chemicals in it to make that separation that are illegal today. Still would love to try it again😊
i used to go to the grocery store with my dad....mom at home with twin toddlers...we would buy Jello 123....i got hooked on it. Later on when i got married, i would buy Danish Go Rounds...as with most of these "foods" everything was sickeningly sweet. But we were all skinny !! No fast food, no take out, and we only ate at home. And we ran around the yard when we were home all the time. I also remember the milk shake bars....talk about SUGAR.
Cracker Jacks with REAL toys in each box... Also Bazooka bubble gum
Remember the fortune telling cellophane fish prize in Cracker Jacks?😊
EVERY TIME i pick a favorite anything, production of that whatever STOPS IMMEDIATELY. Has Never failed. So now i never mention what my favorite what ever is.
Things like, Rally Candy Bar. Pillsbury Food Sticks, Big Johns Beans & fixings, Mug o lunch, Plain Doritos [just the cornchip and salt, no weird flavor powder on it]
the original Mars bar with no caramel, the original Whatchamacallit with no caramel
AND What Happened to Baby Ruth? I mean full sized Baby Ruth, all i can find these days is those 6 pack "fun sized" ones sold in dollar stores.
I vaguely remember Doritos having sour cream and onion
OMG me too, still to this day everything I find New that I love and all the older things that I love get discontinued, or they don’t stock it anymore, so sad and I’m so mad about it. Bring back tostadas to Taco Bell and potato wedges at KFC!!!!😡😡
Milkshake candy bar., I would freeze mine. 😅😅
😂😂 That's what happens to me when it comes to perfume 😂😂
Same thing happens to me with ANYTHING I say is my favorite! Soon after, you can’t find it anywhere because it’s been discontinued.
Does anyone else remember Chocodiles? Those were amazing?
I wish they would bring those back !!😩
@@claudia272they were chocolate covered Twinkies...right?
@@jocelynharris-fx8hoyes but they didn’t taste like twinkies and were a bit bigger too. They had their unique taste.
They need to bring back Jello 123
I had exactly the same thought.
As we learned in a 70s JELLO cookbook my mom got from the company, make JELLO as usual but run it through a blender for a minute and then put in cups. Same layering effect happens.
We loved those 😊
I thought I was the only one who remembered Jello 1,2,3!
Back then Tupperware made gray dessert cups, their plastic bottoms snapped on. My mom made the Jello 123 and tilted the dessert cups slightly by letting the cup bottoms lean through the wire shelves. The layers set diagonally. We thought it was the most awesome dessert ever. She did that with differently colored regular Jello or pudding and whipped cream too.
One of the snacks from the 70s that I want back is the Butternut candy bar, I thought that it tasted so much better than Snickers. The other snack that I would like to have back ate the Dolly Madison fruit pies and cupcakes. I also thought that they tasted better than Hostess.
IT was maybe more in the sixties but does anybody remember the ZABBA-DABBA bar ? SO GOOD! Like getting Taffy or a pullable suger daddy .
Aw Jees, the original Juicy Fruit Gum too! I lived on that throughout my childhood. Yellow paper covered foil wrappers saved to keep your gum...yum😋.
Friendship chains made with gum wrappers
Juicy fruit was the BEST ❤❤❤
My dad's favorite snack was Suzy Qs, which was also his nickname for me.
My Dad's favorite as well!!!
Jello 123! Loved and begged my Mom to buy it. We thought they were the most sophisticated desserts!
Three words: Screaming Yellow Zonkers. GREATEST junk food EVER produced.
I loved those! My Granny would get them as a snack to share with me. So yummy.
@@angelsinger4574 They RULED!👍 Glad somebody else remembers them.🙂
Loved them..Step up from Cracker Jacks.
I literally cried when I could not find them anymore.
LOVED those !
I really liked Jello 1-2-3s, they were fantastic, miss them😊
Does anyone remember 7up bars? A chocolate bar with 7 different types of filling in each square? I loved those!
My absolute favorite candy bar. ❤
And the 7up soda company tried to shut the candy down for decades until they finally succeeded.
7 types of chemicals and we loved each and every one of them
Similar to the sky bar
I loved all but the chocolate covered orange candy,
Kraft made a box of spaghetti in a red box. OMG. We loved it
Yes!!!!!! My Grandma used to serve it with little meatballs.
They still have it on the shelf at my store. My mom made it too
Still available at Dollar General Stores
Does anyone else remember the Welch's jelly donuts you heated up in the oven? Oooo they were so good!
One of my favorite candies were the Giant Sweet Tarts, I was 10 when Ding Dongs came out, 123 Jell-O yum 😋
Pink giant sweet tarts were my favorite....eat em till my tongue was raw!...lol
I miss Alpha Bits 😢
I've seen Alpha Bits in Walmart
@sparklecanada0112 no way! We ate those in the 80's! I have not seen them in decades.
@@Lyddiebits Way. 😊.
I bought a box of them for my granddaughter to try.
She thought it was super exciting and cool that cereal came this way when I was her age.
She sat for an hour writing words. Lol.
I used to do the same thing. I also used to make decorations for my bedroom. I'd paste the letters and other crafty items onto paper plates and Dixie cups. Lol 😆 those were the days
I miss the 70's, sometimes a just need a Tab soda, boo berry cereal, and a sky candy bar.
My favorite cereal was Boo Berry. The only time I can find it now is around Halloween
I loved jell-o 1-2-3! I’d love to see that come back!
Omg yes
there's a 'Freakies' Snorkledorf magnet on my garage refrigerator right now- been on it since the 70s.
We collected them too😅
We are the Freakies, we live in the freaky tree 😂
Although they were made in the ‘80s, not the ‘70s, Hershey made a candy bar called Bar None. I loved them. Can’t find them now. 😫
I loved bar none!
Any time I tell anyone about Sour cream and onion Doritos, they think I'm crazy. My BFF and I used to eat them all the time!
So good
Early Doritos had an ingredient that gave me and my sister hives around our mouth that itched.
I remember them.
They brought the Sour Cream and onion Doritos back just a few years ago for a limited time along with the Salsa Rio flavor. I bought both of them. The Salsa Rio was my favorite.
I want Jello’s 1 2 3 back! I loved it!
Our hood favorite, Wise real cheese crunchy doodles and a real Welch's grape soda sold at the school truck!
I worked in a neighbourhood elementary school recently and they went around with a little cart in the morning that sold stuff like those little hot sausages and stuff. Only place I've ever seen such a thing but I loved it.
I love Wise! Only place I can find them is our local Dollar Tree. Still think they have the best plain chips and cheese puffs ever.
@@Ladiofthewoods omg, yes, plain Wise chips are the best!
Jello, 1 2 3’s, magically turned into 3 layers….
I remember several of them. Ding Dongs & Ho Ho’s. I used to eat the outer layer of chocolate off first; it was like pulling apart an Oreo. You had to eat them a certain way. Jell-O 123. Fruit Stripe gum. Marathon bars. Freshen Up gum. But I think the one I missed the most, and I can relate to the fact that, as soon as I love it, it disappears also, was the Star Bar. It had like five different things in it and it was… Perfect. It was made by Mars and I think it came out around 1980? So many things that were So not good for us. Don’t care. Miss ‘em anyway.
Dollar Tree sells Fruit Stripe Gum
Milkshake candy bars, loved the malted milk candy. And Mug O Lunch! My kids loved them.
I had forgotten about mug o lunch! Ty for the reminder.
i still remember the milshake candy bar commercial!! dancing female cows in hula skirts!!
I love milkshake candy bars too. They were the best.
i ate Mug O Lunch at the office in the mid 70's....the aroma would fill the office lol after eating most of the things on this video plus toaster pizzas and god knows what else....i had my first gallbladder attack at age 20....FUN.
Does anyone remember straws filled with strawberry flavoring in it?
You poured it into your milk and were supposed to drink from the paper straw that always collapsed on itself.
I wish we still had whip-n-chill.
My favorite dessert followed by Jello 123
I do, too. My mom used to make it to put on jello poke cakes as an extra layer between the cake and whipped cream. SO yummy!
Food in the 70s was just better tasting. I miss Mug O Lunch, Breakfast Squares, Figurines and Carnation Breakfast Bars, and King Vitamin cereal every single day.
BREAKFAST SQUARES YUMMM! What great memories having breakfast with my mom on Saturday mornings watching cartoons!!
Loved Breakfast Squares!
Ah, the Carnation Breakfast Bars!! I LOVED those things! Could almost eat the whole box. I sure wish they would bring those back, exactly how they were with no changes!
King vitamins was awesome
I dream about the carnation breakfast bars.
Loved those chocolate Space Food Sticks! And Quisp was my favorite cereal.
Quisp was so good. Even better than Quake.
That Gatorade gum was soooooooooo good! 80's snack I miss are Pudding Pops and Kudos!!! This was a fun watch.
Bring back the old version of Hostess Twinkies, and... How about Girl Scout Cookies that were worth the money, because they were also great tasting and BIGGER!😅
Whip and chill, mug o lunch , bonomo Turkish taffee,
Wax cigars filled with flavored juice, yellow wax harmonicas you could play and chew afterwards.
Love Marathon bar. One I like to see back is Screaming Yellow Zonkers.
Omigod the middle layers of the jello 123's!
I remember "Dannon" with fruit on the bottom, you flipped the container over a bowl and poked holes to make a "sundae", yum and fun!
I want La Choy egg rolls,I loved Quisp and Pink Panther cereal. Doritos sour cream and onion, Marathon bar. All good memories 😊
You can do the jello with cream whip.
The chicken ones were great, my mom would share with me and we'd real the National Enquirer and the Star ...i was 10 or so
I wish someone else besides me would remember Butioni Toaster Pizzas. I used to eat one after school every day!! They were round n sealed all the way around n stuffed with fabulous tasting pizza ingredients that you put in the toaster. REALLY miss them STILL n wish they were available again!!!
I remember! Loved those!
I'm Italian and from NJ. That was the only pre-packaged Italian food we ate. We loved them omg. They do need to bring them back.
rancher's pride frozen hamburgers and those BUITONI TOASTER PIZZAS !! i would eat them after school too.....pop them in the toaster....when i got married i would buy the Danish go rounds....same thing...toaster food.
Oh they were my favorite! There’s a group that’s been trying to get them back. The closest that tastes similar are the hot pocket 4 cheese
So if you all want to stage a protest, I'm down. I am in Florida though, so we will have to plan. It must be during the warmer months as I hate winter. But let's go, take a stand and demand the return of our toaster pizzas!
Oh how much out old delights charmed us. Remember how Chips Ahoy used to taste? Lord have mercy on our taste buds.
I used to buy alot of Hamburger Helper.
Boy it was good!!! 👍🏼
Has that gone by the wayside?
Mom liked Rice Oriental
You can still buy it.
It has no taste anymore.
My mom used to make the Tuna Helper tuna pot pie. It was so good, wish they would bring it back.
Does anyone remember Brownie chocolate drinks? Omigosh I was addicted! I remember riding my purple huffy bike with the banana seat down to the Handy Way store and getting a Brownie drink, a chico-stick and the latest Thor comic. I was in heaven! Sometimes I'd go for a Nehi peach soda and a charms pop though. Choices, choices! 🤔😄
The caramel Marathon bar was my go-to treat in the 70s. Missed it for so long but was thrilled to find the UK Curly Wurly which is basically a mini Marathon bar.
My friend from the UK sent me a ton of Curly Wurlys and they tasted just like the Marathon bar except a shorter version and I felt like I was a kid again 😊 good times 😁
Anyone remember Slender Bars? I loved them! Peanut butter was my favorite!
How about Hostess bring back Suzy Q's?
I grew up in the 70s but don't remember MOST of these!
I was thinking the same thing! I lived in Montana. Maybe they just didn't make it to Montana.....
I loved Chunk chocolate bars
chunky? i ate one meant for 3 or 4 people and had a gallbladder attack...my last one...had it out. I love those to this day. lol
@@Jendromeda oh my gosh!! lol….😂
A true story about Space Food Sticks (I'm not proud of):
One dull afternoon I took a couple of sticks, which were brown, and molded them into a perfect, edible turd. Then I went out and terrorized my neighbor with it, forcing her to eat it and she ran home crying. I got in a lot of trouble 😂
LOL!

Mee too. 😊
I can still smell The cinnamon brown sugar Danish.

I can still remember the taste of the orange rounds, I miss them, yum
Charleston chews! Loved them! Jello 123 was delicious too. My mom always made it!
Instead of cheez-its they also had tid-bits little rectangle cheese cracker. I miss them
my parents were strict about candy....i had to walk to the store in early teens before i could eat it. We had all of the box snacks tho and i remember cheezits and tid-bits. Also chicken-in-a-biskit.
Aw, you didn't include Fruit Float made by Libby's. 🎵 when it says libbys libbys libbys on the label label label, you will like it like it like it on your table table table...🎵

🛸 I loved Spacefood Sticks when I was growing up!🚀 My Mom usually packed one in my lunch box every day. I had no idea they had made a comeback in recent years. If I'd seen them in any of the stores near me, I surely would have hopped into my own 🛸 to zoom to the nearest store and stock up on the astronauts favorite snacks! 👨🚀
I also remember Jello 123, Ding Dongs (although they would have been a forbidden treat in our house!) and, vaguely, remember shaking up instant pudding in a cup - yummy! 😊
I love shake a pudding and keep wishing that it would come back. I still remember the smell like it was yesterday.
I remember frozen donuts that had to be baked. So good!
Good one!I never would have remembered the frozen donuts and how good they were and it’s all thanks to you
Morton Donuts, my mom used to buy the glazed ones.
@@CherB.7161 as addictive as Krispy Kreme!
@@michelebriere9569 yes they were, I can still remember the tase.
My mom would make the glazed ones ever so often for a treat. So good!
Wish I still had my La Choy mini egg rolls
La Choy makes Chinese food that swings American 🎵🎶
I loved Shake A Pudding and Milkshake bars!!
I thought I was the only one that remembered Jake pudding oh, how I wish that would come back every once in a while I catch a whiff of something that smells similar and it takes me back
OMG...shake a pudding was so awesome! That was a sweet treat for My uncle and I.
A lot of these candies you can still get at Crackel Barrel restaurants. My grandson loves the Wacky Wafers
Sadly my Cracker Barrel restaurant closed last year. 😔 But Rocket Fizz candy stores still carry some of these and hard to find sodas too.
I remember a favorite candy bar called Milkshake. 😊
Also Goobers, peanut butter and jelly all together in a jar in a beautiful swirl.
I also remember a gum call blackjack, the stick of gum was actually black.
Walmart stocks Goober Jan now. Both Grape and Strawberry versions.
Black Jack, Clove and I can't remember the other flavor, but all three are sold at BiMart. I'm in NW Oregon where we have Bimart.

Teaberry ?
@@CJLinOHIO Yes 👍
Loved Black Jack gum. They bring it and the Clove gum back every now and then.
I want Raspberry Zingers. The original flavor was best.
The wonderful Peanuts/ Snoopy premiums were my favorite part of the Dolly Madison Snack Cake line .....
My uncle had a convenience store in the 70s. I was the self-proclaimed candy taste-tester. I'd love a marathon bar right now. :)
1:52 That is John Wayne's son Patrick Wayne (Patrick John Morrison), who also was in a commercial for a green-apple flavored soda called Aspen.
I miss MARS bars. They have not dold them here inthe USA for many decades.
Are you talking about the Mars bars that had 4 whole almonds on top? Sometime in the early 80s they just chopped up the almonds in put it in the nougat. I haven't seen a Mars bar in at least 25 years. That was my mom's favorite candy bar in the 70s. Use to be able to buy them for a nickel.
We still have them in Canada❤
Snickers almond is a fairly close alternative. Made by Mars too.
You can get them at import shops.
I loved mars bars
I really liked abazaba bars and bit o honey candy.
I am a great deal older than my half brother. I remember he was in my bedroom one day trying to eat something. He was probably 6 yrs old at the time. I knew I had no food in my room. When I went to see what he was trying to open I found he had a tampon and when I took it away from him he started crying because he thought it was a Space Food Stick. Ahhh….memories.
Gag
@@denicesanders4586 Yep 🤢 It was one from the old days so it was just a wrapper and cardboard tube. Poor kid. At least he didn’t get it opened. I use the story to embarrass him in front of his family. 😂
Every day I had to have my fix of Screaming Yellow Zonkers. They need to bring them back.
