It's amazing how Tekken always matches people with players they hate to fight against...it's almost like the game does this on purpose.
I thought I was trippin cuz I go on a 8 game win streak in quick match where I’m facing Rajins tekken gods and some low tier matches THEN I switch to ranked n get THWOMPED by ppl I struggle with greatly like how tf that work!!!!! For example I’ll get KUMA in ranked which who I barely fight like WTF

T8 is amazing. I loved mk1 bro, got the platinum and at least 10 characters I was good with. So 200+ hours. Haven't played since I bought tekken 😂 go 4it bro
@@trane4096 something about Tekken looks more appealing plus I was a HUGE fan of Tekken Tag 2 and T6. T8 just looks intimidating, it could be a “outside looking in” situation.
@EyeConLivin it's a learning curve 4sure, especially coming from mk. These dudes have a "xray" every round. U can get beat up laying on the ground 😭 but once u find yo character it's amazing. But it 4sure is more on the offensive side. Compared to mk where the neutral & defensive sides is the main focus, it takes time. But if u good at mk1 you'll be fine
@@trane4096 when I’m focused I’m a really good MK player (that’s when I’m focused 😂) yea the learning curve is gonna be crazy, who’s a good character to learn for new players? I want to use law or Lars but not sure how beginner friendly Lars is. Bryan has always been my fav next to armor king and law so I thought about him too.
@EyeConLivin funny thing is I picked up law this week 😅 he's pretty good with easy combos for nice damage. I also play Lars 💀 he's pretty fun 2 but a little more difficult. I need more lab time with him but I can win with him online. So to start I wud say law definitely but try both. Cuz Lars is more flashy & a little more fun. Law is gonna get u wins, easily
Leo is to me what Lars is to you, only Doto could make me watch that character for more than 6 seconds

I wouldn't say Lars has a bunch of plus strings like Hwoarang. However, he's one of those 50/50 nightmares. He and Eddy are to peas in a pod, which is why I love those two. lol Good games, man!
Oh for sure Hwo has more plus frames, but when you're fighting the character (especially as a newer or lower level player) it all feels the same lol.

Rage art ranking would be dope, but tbh I'd be more interested to hear your thoughts on different heat smashes, esp since the value of using that vs a heat dash or heat moves can vary between characters and make the conversation more interesting
Don't sweat it bro, you'll get there. I had to go through hell and back just to get to Tekken King.
Lotus there are some strings in this game designed as whiff punish baits. They whiff but quickly go into another move and normally close a good distance.
Another designed usage for power crush outside stealing turns and getting out of pressure is to guarantee a whiff punish on these moves that might otherwise clip you.

I got my Hwoarang to Tekken King weeks ago and finally made it on the crossplay leaderboards. I do know if im ready for Gold Ranks though
8:30 for Hwoarang, idk when it's my turn, i also haven't labbed him either, i usually just bait his running heat and sidestep, but that isn't efficient enough. For Lars, he's actually broken, and i don't get a turn unless he does something majorly unsafe, i also haven't labbed him
Most of us watching play as well. When it's time to lock in, sometimes that means reallocating some brain power to PERFORMANCE. Sometimes, you just have to let the sticks do all the talking for you. And we speak that language.
Bro I made it to Tekken King 2 days ago and all I kept thinkin to myself was “I wonder if lotus made it yet”. Every promotion match was a Hwo and I lost 2 of them and would slide halfway down back to Kishin. Had to lab Hwo and learn when to crouch his ass in order to make the jump to Tekken King 😂.

Try training crouch cancel into b3 when you block a big low instead of doing ws44. That trick alone will help you win a lot more matches
