10 years ago I left the northeast for Texas to be closer to my wifes family. I was sad to leave all those amazing trout rivers, but discovered the hill country and red fish...changed my life! Some of the best fishing around, and so much danm fun to chase reds. Not to mention the cool friends I keep on making.

I need a recommendation gent's: I like to fish for bass and trout in freshwater and all fish in the salty stuff. What is a reliable fly rod for a dirt bag like myself? Tremendous video with so many stones uncovered, instant subscriber.

Check out Redington, Lamson, TFO and echo. They have some well-priced rods and reels!

Love Rockport! Definitely a lot more people fishing there. For all you out of towners and newbies, if you ever hear of a place called Port O’Connor or POC, don’t bother, fishing there is horrible.
