That 3-year window between 02, 03, and 04 were the Kings best opportunity during the Rick Adelman era to win it all.
So underrated! My favorite player of all time! Bibby and the Kings the real 02 champions!!
2002 was the Kings year. The stars were aligned for them to win based on the progress they had made from 2000 to 2002. After 01-02, they were starting to regress and where it was noticeable was in the wins from 59, 55, 50, and 44 after that 2001-02 season of 61 wins. That was a sign that the beginning of that era of Kings basketball was nearing.
