Great (honest) review! Casio has since corrected one of your critiques. Now with the light function you get 2 settings. L1 is for 1.5 seconds, L3 is for 3.0 seconds. Seems to be on all the new G-Shocks in 2013. My watch arrived in L1, I switched it to L3 that night, 1.5 seconds was just too short. But I think L1 isn't terrible once you know your watch face.
I noticed that new option on the PRW2500-1 I picked up. I like the fact that they made it and option. This way people that want to save on battery can and those that want the longer light also have that option.
@william526 This is late. A new version of Atomic Solar Gulfman is available. The GW9110 comes with moon phase, tide graph while keeping the atomic sync and solar power.
On the atomic solar version of the Gulfman Casio did not add a tide graph or moon phase graph. To get those functions you would have to look into the battery powered version of the Gulfman. So, it is kinda of a trade off do you want a watch with solar/atomic functions or tide/moon graph.
You should put a Riseman band on it. You'll find it is noticeably more comfortable. In fact, CASIO later switched to the Riseman band design for newer Gulfman models.
Thank you for your kind words. However, I am by no means an expert. Just a guy talking about my experiences with a watch. Things I liked and things I did not.
Couple words about 5-sec timer feauture: (04:10) I had that rare and very useful feature in my old cheap W-754H-2A Illuminator (got that timepiece for ~ $25-30). Sad to know that "rare feauture" turned now into kind of "unique feature" - I mean really hard to find. P.S.: sorry about my poor english level

Great watch just put it on and it works 😊
Are all Gulfmans solar or is it just particular models?
+Joe Dodge Not all of them are. They do have other Gulf man models that are as well.
When was this released because I have one and forgot how old it is
I believe it came out in 2003. I know I've had mine for over 10 years.
@@Wanderer001_Reviews thanks for that its a great watch lasts a long time
