    This isn't how my mental imagery works at all. What she's explaining sounds like a weak optical illusion, after image, or imagining something in front of you without being able to literally see it. What I experience is like a screen in my mind unrelated to my physical vision, and I can create images or videos on that mental screen. How 'vivid' the mental image is like, is it 144p and grainy/transparent or 480p or HD? How 'lively' would be how animated or static it is--if I imagine a cat, does it move around like a real cat or is it a still image or maybe awkward unrealistic movements?
