I must say I think I enjoyed throwing these more than others I have reviewed, I usually dread those tiny flights but they actually threw well for me this time, check out my doubles challenge start too! £102.95. I remember when I were a lad I could pick up a set of his Phase 2 from Argos, get a Blade 3 board, have a curry night, five pints, a cinema ticket, annual subscription to Darts World, a big bag of Revels (pre-shrinkflation) and still have change from that.

LOL Revels, I liked Minstrels :) If you look at the price of the Unicorn Phase 5 Rosso from 2011 they were £80 which is the equivalent of £125 in todays money, so guess on the whole they are cheaper now than then :)
When Taylor started using Lowe's darts with his "old face" fives 😅 I know it was phase but I just keep laughing 😂

Super nice dart from Target.I think you're throwing better than you ever did,no matter what dart!!!
I have improved I think, still have way too many wayward darts but that's just the way my throw goes at times I just lose the feeling lol
I like John Lowe style darts, I just can not get on with the tiny Taylor flights, I have to literally grip my dart like Taylor to make them work.
Much better with a K Flex system, lovely to throw in 26g.
Nice looking darts. The short barrel and tiny flights give a very balanced look to them and they seemed to be flying pretty well for you Darren, although at best part of AU$200 they won't be on my wish list anytime soon.
I think they look good, some are saying they look awful but guess its all what the individual likes in the end. They are never cheap though, sadly. Flew far better than I thought, cheers! :)

Lol I broke the stem so no good for giveaway now 😜 but yeah they flew well, might be the lighter weight?

I have the gen 9s from last year, which look almost identical to these. It’s a lovely dart, only difference is they don’t have those new grooves on the front. Quite like the navy flights though, would go nice with my gen 9s too
I think the fact I have tried lighter ones this time must have helped :)
You seemed to throw them well.👍🏼 I am a wheelchair user and I used to play with the board at regulation height, so I bought the 26g, but now I have the dartboard lower I probably could have went lighter. I do throw ok with the vapor s flights but I eventually went with the slightly bigger Vapor flights.😂
It’s clever from target darts though. Even though Phil has his struggles with playing darts these days, they’re still able to sell a slight variation of his darts every year. Although he is a legend to be fair.

Its been a long time Darren haha. If you ever go to Q-School or Challenge Tour, maybe you should use these Taylors. You're a master at those tiny flights, better than I can do xD
It has, hi mate! :) LOL I have days where my throw feels ok, think it may have been one of those days, although nearly hit a max with them this morning, they are fun to throw :)
a very nice looking set... expensive but well worth it if you are looking for a nice looking bullet style dart... i got the gen 9 and they are awesome.. had to switch to the standard flights though cause they were flying all over the place with these small ones :D

Another great review Darren…… a stunning dart but to short for me…….but the k flex I think are a game changer at that price point compared to the condors and l style

Which would you say are the best Phil Taylor darts youve reviewed since you’ve reviewed most of them. I’m thinking bout getting either the gen 4, gen 10 or gen 7s but not sure

Its very similar around the middle but I think the G9 were a bit grippier as the grooves had a bit more width :)

Is the sandblast section the same as on the Gen 8? That damage very quickly
II think its the same as all the sandblasted target darts and on any brand for that matter, its just a surface finish, so does not last as well as I would like sadly :)
I love some Taylor’s darts, mostly the earlier ones. But I think these look horrendous.
Its all down to individual tastes, as a whole set up I think they look good, not the best out of all the Gen 95's but not the worse.

@@Timesend I forget which one had the pimple kind of grip, but I quite liked the rear on that one :)
Imagine if you used the K flex stem and flight for the challange part, you might have achieved even better numbers. These little flights are for pros only.
I thought about it but I love the fun of a challenge with the tiny flights even more :)
Thought I’d take a punt on a half price set on eBay. I’m not 100% convinced yet. Have you thrown them much with other flights and did they feel better than the tiny supplied ones?
yeah I used them with some Condor Axe, fly well for me, I will be keeping them :)

yeah, it was fine but I kind of like the challenge of throwing with the little flights, so satisfying when they go well :)
Just got these and after a while using the taylor small flights just seemed really smooth and straight definitely prefer them to standard shape flights
I think it's the speed of the darts with those flights but you need a clean release or they go at funny angles 😊

Not one set of Taylor darts in my collection and these won´t change that. Nice lookin´, but hella pricey for what´s in the package. I´d rather buy the Cernunnos from Shot for that much cash...😉
All individual preference. My only gripe is there is not a whole heap of difference from previous models but still a nice dart all the same.

If you like more grip then I don't think they will be right for you

@@Moi0011 Thank you! :) Will you be holding the dart in the middle if its a short dart? A lot of front grippers can hold short darts in the middle because they are short, but if you are holding a short dart at the front then maybe try something like the Mission Kuro M4 or Unicorn Utech 3 or the Shot Centurion or Shot Mecha. :)

I've always been a fan of Taylor's darts but not at that price.
no doubting the fact they are pricey, but a lot of Taylors darts have always been pricey ever since the Unicorn Phase 5's :)

@@Stephenlarmour yeah as I mentioned there is not a whole lot of difference to some previous models, I think its just for me the others I reviewed were 26g and this time its 22g but I also seemed to be holding them in the sweet spot which I felt was right on these even though it was not 100% where I would instinctively hold them :)
the flights are really bad. It's coming out easily but it's pain to re-insert them. I like how they flo but I spend way to much time putting the flights back... they really sucks
If you unscrew the alloy top then put the flight in then screw it back in it should be easier.

Sorry to say it, but the target swiss points are pretty sh*t to be perfectly honest with you all.
Great design, crapply manufacturing makes them snap, chip or blunt extremely easily.
Should take some notes from mission, their points are very hard wearing and less prone to snapping.
Another nice set of Taylor darts. Always wanted to try a set of the Power 9fives but the price has always prevented me from buying a set.
Keep your eyes open for special offers or try getting a used set for much cheaper :)

Nice Looking darts.
But the coating is the greatest ......ever. Playing 10 sets and the coating disapeared. For an expensive Dartset like this a shame.🫣 Maybe Target should sell them without the coating.
