I was fortunate enough to see Sean D.Tucker in his last Oshkosh display. I also saw him at the Rockford Air Show back in the early '90s. Flew amazing! And that's a Challenger III which is now in the Smithsonian. What a tribute!
I lived in wi. Got to got to oshkosh a few times had a chance to but that Henderson that pickers got when I was in high school. My buddies grandad was an Iola founder we spent many weekends there in his blacksmith shop .
Horst, what a great video! This is a stunning model, and the sound? Superb!! Thanks for posting!!
Dude, I just can’t get over the sound of that engine! Very realistic! Cool piloting skills , knife edge while turning takes a lot of practice ! Thanks for posting!
It is a real engine, hence it's realistic sound.

@@josephisherwood1723 first thing that came to my mind also.
Beautiful camera work Horst!
A very nice model! I was lucky enough to see Sean D. Tucker before he retired. He was doing his "Sky Dance" and it left me in awe. Beautiful flying by this pilot as well!
Love watching Ali fly, he just knows how to put that six-cylinder to good use! Wide open so you can hear that amazing sound! Amazing aircraft, engine and pilot!
Thanks for sharing
Rob
Damn, that little flat six sounds amazing!!!!
The sound are important ;-)
Wow! That was amazing to watch. The talent to fly this plane is tremendous. I love the sound of the opposed flat six. Well done.👍👍
Holy smokes Horst - 6 cylinder Kolm - never thought I'd see that! Amazing.
Must be a lot of money tied up in that airplane. Gorgeous flier and super to watch. Lovely hesitation rolls and slow rolls.
Perfect blue sky back drop. :)
Horst , your camera is second to none.
Absolutely beautiful. Great work Ali flying that gorgeous Pitts. Big salute from the Uk, 👍👍👏👏🇬🇧🇬🇧
_Thank you for your compliments, sean. Much appreciated !!!_
Bonjour Horst,
A work of art and what a beautiful sound. We are spoiled
Fantastic in all respects. Fantastic plane and engine and flying skills and use of smoke. Love that engine sound. Fantastic camera work. Could not be better. This is top notch stuff.
I watched Sean Tucker perform his routine in his Modified Pitts way back in the late 80s. Been my favorite sport acrobatic machine ever since. An absolutely gorgeous model you have here. The sound of that engine is fantastic as well!!
The late '80s he had a modified pitts, not the challenger III. If you never saw him circa 2005-2010 then you don't known what you're missing.
I watched him HOVER on his prop at full power, while moving backwards down the runway as the breeze he was facing into blew him backwards in front of the crowd, a couple hundred feet off the runway. This after he entered from stage left and 5,000 feet in a tumbling gyro maneuver on a 45-downline and did not break out of the tumble until below 500'. It was probably 20+ negative G gyrations... Nobody will ever put on a high energy biplane show like that ever again.
Rob Holland in the MX2-RH is even more brilliant, especially in the hovers and tumbles. But a monoplane lacks the raw aggression of the Challenger III.
Finally a RC video worthy of watching! No crappy foam planes crashing, or falling apart During flight. Seriously bad ass sound from that engine! This is how a biplane should sound!
That was fantastic flying. I’m amazed at the control and the sound of the engine on these large models. 👍👍
Fantastic acro flying of Aly and beautiful Kolm sound!!!
Thanks for sharing this fantastic videos Horst!
CIAO!!! 👍👍😜
When you get to this level of modeling and flying,"You are the man".That thing looks and sounds simply awesome.
all it takes is MONEY and lots of it
Jimmy Haley - And a hell of a lot of skill !!! Money ain’t everything, and it sure cannot buy the skills necessary to fly this aircraft.
Don’t feel like you couldn’t do this. He still bounced all his landings. Awesome pilots don’t. He is normal like all of us. You can do this too.
The sound of music to my ears !
An amazing flight of a brand new plane. The big Kolm ran and sounded amazing! A nice day, a beautiful plane and some great flying topped off by excellent camera work. РЭЯדּЄϽТ!!! Thanks very much for sharing Horst, two thumbs up my friend!
Cheers, Bob
Wow!!!! love that sound and an awesome flight. Shalom
Great flying as always Ali, that Engine sounds amazing!
Amazing plane! The setup flight was better than the noon demo. Great flying.
balls!, man, that sounds like the real thing! beautiful model, excellent flying!
The engine sounds amazing the plane flies in majestically smooth lines.
My brain started vibrating just from the sound through my speakers. Good job felt like I was there don't know how you can get a better compliment than that.
Love the sound of that little engine. That guy can fly it too. Awesome!
What a beautiful plane, and the sound!? And the power? Wow
That was an expert version of a flight I appreciate it thank you
That's a great scale sound! Nice flying plane as well. Thanks for sharing.
Sounds like an old porsche! I love it! Amazing work
Thanks a lot! 👍😉
Sweet, my fascination has always been scale flying. Great job!
Wow, Junior Ali still loves flying, I remember him from the days of hobby stores.
That engine sound! I see a million comments about that engine but I just gotta add another. That sounds so good!
The hobby has really advanced!!! Sounds like the real thing!!!! The smoke is even generated by the engine you can see the pulses just like the real thing!!!! Incredible!!!
It sounds good. Beautiful display.
that badass man good job! love the sound!
Great looking and flying plane... Enjoyed watching. Thank you.
The skill it takes to perform these seemingly effortless moves is remarkable.
The engine sounds just fine, but THOSE THUMBS ARE AMAZING!
A million Dollar sound!!!!! Love it.
Excellent and very real sound, beautifull!!!! And the good hands of Ali 👏👏😎✌️
It’s beautiful music to my ears.
Man it sounds good
Epic engine! 3 or 6 cylinder 4-strokes are just the thing for Mustangs, Spitfires, BF109s, and other V-12 warbirds. The sound they make is beautiful.
What a great time for RC aircraft. There are some awesome engines being made that are the perfect cure for Flying Weedwhacker Syndrome. Yes, I understand that such jewel-like engines come at a jewelry-like price, but if I was going to invest the time and money in a beautiful large scale aircraft, I'd want to do it justice with an engine worthy of it.
That being said, I love seeing any good plane take to the air and be flown well, regardless of the size of the owner's budget. Thanks for another excellent video, and happy flying to all!
Thank you for your great comment which I really appreciate.
You're absolutely right. Scale models should use an adequate power plant 👍

I'm watching this again just to listen to that engine. I wonder what kind of horsepower it makes... I love the scale radials, too. There's just something about piston engines. Scale jets are cool but they don't make such lovely music!
@@monsieurcommissaire1628 Thanks again. Glad to hear that you like the sound of 4 stroke engines.
I would love to see the modular design, but with DOHC and HEMI. The cams can freely move along the axis as can the cylindrical parts. So heat extension between the bays is no problem. HEMI wants its valves be pushed from the outside and hence it does not work too well with SOHC like in those cheap inline-4 or inline-3 car engines. And then swap it into a bug. The spacing in an air cooled engine lets us access spark plugs easily. Also we don't spill oil all over us when the valve covers for intake and exhaust are separate ( motor-bike like ). Air cooled would also work with two intake valves. This would allow us to center the spark plug for easy access. Two exhaust valves would need liquid cooling. We cannot use conical cams due to the heat expansion. Thus pancake combustion chamber is impossible. I mean, maybe revert to pushrods for the intakes? I would love to see a rocker arm driven by the cam which uses two short pull-rods to pull down a pair of arms ( left and right ) for the valves. Spheres on a ring. Not really a rod. Where was I?
So I want U joints to rotate the axis. The Cam profile pre-compensates for this. There is only little movement in the joint, so not much friction or heat. As an option. Of course just going 4-valve is the easier way to place the single plug ( not man carrying ) where it belongs, but this would be an exclusive feature. As an option on a base engine with 2 valves. Ah, I see, still more friction on the rocker arms. Could as well go SOHC: Directly drive the exhaust valve, and use short push rods for the the two intakes. I think that I'vs seen a prototype for the Corvette or so.
Maybe the outer arms can sit on the main arm ( tolerances -- not good ), and there is only a thin shaft which extends from the U-joint and dictates the direction only, but not the (vertical for upright view of a single cylinder ) location. Or let the center arm sit on the outer arms. I guess a little off-center spark has far less implications.
Great looking Pitts the new motor sounds great,
Backing off the throttle sounds beautiful
Saw the great Sean Tucker fly Oracle years ago. Couldn't catch my breath afterwards. I knew when I saw this model the pilot had to be very good too and I was right. Excellent show.
I love to see it flown/viewed from the pilot like some are starting to do. I’m sure it would be a great show
By far this video captures the audio much better than other channels. Only the jet sounds in the background...
Thank you for your great comment which I really appreciate.
You're absolutely right. Unfortunately during airshows there are always some disturbing "noise" from other airplanes. 👍
@@RCScaleAirplanes Definitely and I recall seeing another video of a small electric plane with loud gas ones in the background 😂😂😂 RIP beginners
That thing sounds insane 😄👍great flying
Awesome plane had such a wonderful time at Joe Nall this year. You really got some great shots this year. Looking forward to more nall videos
NICE!! Beautiful airplane and flying skills.
Amazing beautiful plane guys...
Thank you, super video!
Great Plane .Engine sounds amazing.
Awesome aircraft, great pilot
Like the engine sound
That four-stroke six-cylinder sounds so, so good.
What an absolutely beautiful airplane. And an airplane is only a great as it's pilot.Awesome display.
Damn that engine sounds so good
Awesomeness and perfection!
Beautiful aircraft!!
Whow, that sounds nice, very nice display too.
What a great show.. What a great sound.. Magic..
Wow, Sounds realy good!
Oh at last a small plane that sounds like the real thing. Thanks for showing us.
Beautiful airplane and a skilled pilot. Nice
What a beautiful engine.
Outstanding , dunno what else to say . That mr Ali , character has done it again , Nice one mate .

It does! Thank you.
Fantastic sound!!!!
This makes me very happy!
What a great flyer !
Thank you !!! 🤙😎
Nice bird! Great pilot!
Wow what a fantastic sound ..Need that engine
That’s about as close to the real full-size engine/ prop that I’ve ever heard!!
and finally came the day I saw not only a realistic airplane but a take off too! .....landing like a kangaroo in this airplanes is a must. engine's sound is excellent! congrats great video.
Gorgeous bird!!
Beautiful airplane, awesome pilot.
Bloody hell.... that is fast that sounds awesome and man I wish I was inside it....
That thing is rad and that engine is nuts! Looks like the real oracle challenger flying. Doesn't sound too far off either.
Finally a contender to moki in case of sound :o) great plane...
Awesome sound.
Impressive!! If you didn't know better, you would swear it was a life size plane with a real pilot sitting inside of it at the controls!! Great job!! Thanks for the video.
Really nice, could be mistaken for a full size! Love the airframe and the engine! Nice smooth flying as well. Lovely👍.
Dang Ali gets to fly so many cool planes I'm honestly jealous. But I've seen the real one fly and this honestly looks very close to it in the air. The engine sounds nice too. For those of you wondering what's meant by it needing a bigger prop, a bigger prop would create a better sound since the air would get whipped around more at the tips. So a bigger prop would make it sound more like a real plane.
great video
What a superb model! So many RC aeroplanes are spoilt by the sound they make. Not this one!
Could only think of two words after hearing that engine.
>>TRUE AMERICAN
Well but the engine is from Austria
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Engine from Austria. Airframe most likely manufactured in Asia. American? 🙄
@@kloudkreeper maybe because everything about the real plane is American
Only one word...AWESOME...
Glad you liked it! 🤙😎
Friggin sweet!
Exelente motor...mucho torque...
Amazing plane. Amazing flying. I expected a perfect 3 point landing each time...
Absolutely beautiful ❤ Ohhhh Wowwww
KOLM = Sounds the greatest
_THANKS !!!_
Incredible
Beautiful Model and sounds assume! I hope someday these builders figure out how to get the pilots head to rotate a bit with the rudder servo, that would be really cool. Great upload!
Wow... music to the ear!
Awesome!
The power!
Super.KOLM,KOLM,KOLM my dream.
Nice flying skills
