I started Valet Trash of Kansas City because of your videos, I appreciate you. I’m 1.5 years in at 220 customers residential and 3 dumpsters. I’m having trouble with the route management & invoicing. Make a how to video on residential route!
@@lakechamplainsanitation7226 thanks again, you and Travis with my big dumb life have been a huge huge inspiration & motivation. Lowkey, im glad you never made a video on how hard it is dumping trash into a dump trailer at first. Sheesh.
Congrats on more dumpsters . . . Being able to unload them with your truck saved a bunch of money from having to use a crane or other machine to off load .
Knowing what you know now which (residential collection or dumpster rental) would you get into first? I'm in a county with 2 solid waste companies excluding waste management that has a municipal contract (towns around 45k people) which leaves an additional 25k people in noncontracted (rural) areas
Hey brother, just wondering how you found that info out is there a government website ? Trying to do some research of my town to see if creating residential route would make sense. Thanks for any info.
@@vincenthao6686 mainly the census website but you can get a rough idea with just county population and individual town population within said county but you need to know the average household size is around 3 per household So say you live in a county with 50k people and you have 2 towns one with 15k people and one with 1500 people you'd simply subtract the 16500 from the 50k which is 33500 then you divide that by the average people per household (which is available on the census online) so id do 3 (as that's what my area is) so 33500÷3=11166.6666667 doing single cities is much simpler than counties but in my area cities are contracted but you need to account for competition, especially in citys
I think residential trash is a less capital intensive start up if you did it the way I did with the trailer. I personally enjoy the dumpster rental/junk removal side more now though

First! Brother i've been watching all your videos your work ethic is insane.
Thank you for the support man!!
Would love those container prices here in San Diego, nice containers! Are they 20 yd's?
what’s the cost of those bins? what manufacture did you use?
Would you give the company or website that made the decals for your dumpsters please? Thanks
We do them locally in my town ourselves

How do you like the new dumpsters so far? Looking to order a few from the same company. Thank you!
So far so good!
Can you provide the info for the company you got these dumpsters from? I’m local to Pa and would like to support a small family business
Friesens Welding & Mfg. Lewisburg, Pa
Get some tall 20 yards and 6-7 yard dirt-Concret bins would make more profit
Dirt dumpster would be really hard on his truck I think .
Unfortunately 4YDs of dirt is maxed out for payload this truck is legally rated for a little under 5 tons
Here in Canada we got f550 doing 6 yard dirt no problem
Do you think this truck is capable of also towing a trailer on top of having a dumpster on it?
I think so it would be CDL class at that point though
5:14 howd you get it off?! 😂 wanted to see that!
literally what I was waiting for! haha
It was a little sketchy but if fell into the grooves on the chassis just fine lol
@@lakechamplainsanitation7226 I knew it definitely wasn’t gonna be smooth, I wanted to see it slam onto the rollers lol
How did you get your 96 gallon trash cans?
We had to order them
